17th Loksabha elections were held to the 38 seats at Tamilnadu on 18th of april.
Election at vellore constituency was cancelled by the election commission due to
massive cash haul. Election deciding the fate of the state government were also been
helded to the 18 vacant assembly constituencies on the same date.
Mostly the state is seen with a two way fight between DMK & AIADMK. TTV
Dhinakaran’s AMMK/Independent candidates failed to get the support in most of
the constituencies, while kamalhassan’s Makkal Needhi Maiam splits the huge anti-
incumbency vote over the kongu belt. Naam Tamilar party seen getting huge support
over Dindugul and Chennai belt areas.
Dharmapuri constituency had received 80.49% of votes, which is 00.65% less than
the votes received in 2014.
Our team at 38 constituencies who spoke with the voters after polling, confirms
NDA makes a tough fight to UPA over the state. No single party wave seen & No
sweep possible.
Our team met 11,418 voters over 38 loksabha constituencies between 18th of April to
20th of April. 76 trained field investigators from our team met the voters directly & it
took upto 10 minutes to interview a respondant.
The survey was designed by IETech and Analysed by Spick Media, Chennai. The
team included M.Harish, B.Jagan, S.Priya, S.Krishnamoorty, J.Poorna, Pirai
Kannan, Rajasekaran and N.Kannan.
