ABSTRACT

Background: The role of nurses is a role of advocacy that protects the rights of
patients and the provision of information to patients, in this case the role of the
nurse advoasi must be performed by nurses, each providing information and
protecting the of patients will affect the level of knowledge of the patient at the time
at home ill.
Objective: To determine the Correlation advocacy role of nurses on the level of
knowledge of patients at the Hospital of Sari Mulia Banjarmasin.
Methods: This study used Correlation Study with cross sectional approach is to
know and study the dynamics of the correlation between risk factors with effects,
with the approach of observation or the collection of data at a time at a time. The
population is all inpatients in the last 3 months as many as 647, with a sample of
87 respondents who planned inpatient unit Sari Mulia Hospital Banjarmasin.
Result: Results showed patient assessment of nurses who have been carrying out
advocacy role with both categories as many as 85 people (97.7%) and good
enough as much as 2 people (2.3%). the level of knowledge of the patient at the
time of hospitalization with 84 people either category (96.6%) and category 3
enough (3.4%).
Conclusion: Statistically significant Correlation obtained p value = 0.000 <α = 0.05
then this shows a significant Correlation between the advocacy role of nurses on
the level of knowledge of patients in hospitals Sari Mulia Banjarmasin. The
correlation coefficient (r) with r = 0.422 showed moderate correlation (0,40- <0.80).

ABSTRAK

Latar belakang: Peran advokasi perawat adalah suatu peran yang melindungi
hak-hak pasien serta pemberian informasi kepada pasien, dengan hal ini peran
advoasi perawat wajib dilakukan oleh perawat, setiap pemberian informasi dan
melindungi hak-hak pasein akan mempengaruhi tingkat pengetahuan pasien pada
saat di rumah sakit.
Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan peran advokasi perawat terhadap tingkat
pengetahuan pasien di Rumah Sakit Sari Mulia Banjarmasin.
Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan Correlation Study dengan menggunakan
pendekatan cross sectional yaitu mengetahui dan mempelajari dinamika korelasi
antara faktor-faktor resiko dengan efek, dengan cara pendekatan observasi atau
pengumpulan data sekaligus pada suatu saat. Populasi yang diambil adalah
semua pasien rawat inap dalam 3 bulan terakhir sebanyak 647, dengan sampel
87 responden yang terencana di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Sari Mulia
Banjarmasin.
Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penilaian pasien terhadap perawat yang telah
melaksanakan peran advokasi dengan kategori baik sebanyak 85 orang (97,7%)
dan cukup baik sebanyak 2 orang (2,3%). tingkat pengetahuan pasien pada saat
di rawat inap dengan kategori baik 84 orang (96,6%) dan kategori cukup 3 orang
(3,4%).
Kesimpulan: Secara statistik didapat hubungan yang signifikan yaitu nilai p =
0.000 < α = 0.05 maka hal ini menunjukan adanya hubungan yang bermakna
antara peran advokasi perawat terhadap tingkat pengetahuan pasien di rumah
sakit Sari Mulia Banjarmasin. Koefisien korelasi (r) dengan nilai r = 0,422
menunjukkan hubungan sedang (0,40-<0,80).

Kata kunci: Peran advokasi, tingkat pengetahuan.
