Les Pro re
Band lessons are ‘pullout’ lessons where students are pulled out of another
class to attend a band lesson. Students should first report to their teacher to ensure
they will not be missing any tests, quizzes, homework, etc. Permission for
dismissal from a class for a lesson must be granted by the teachers. If a student's
lesson conflicts with an exam that can't be made up at another time, then the
student will be excused from his or her lesson. If they are excused, they must still
turn in any assignments due and pick up any worksheets, instructions, etc.
After being excused, the student should come down to the band room and
get their instrument and music as soon as possible.
If a student does miss a lesson, they can attend a make up lesson during a
lunch or study hall period. Make up lessons should be approved first by Miss
Budd.
Lessons occur on a rotating basis so students will not consistently miss one
subject.
