Activity The objective of this Smart Board lesson is to show as well as


teach students the characteristics and fundamentals of plants.
Students will gain information of the basic parts of a plants,
the, materials on how to grow them, and also the necessities
to help plants grow. This Smart Board lesson comes equip with
slides that consist of definitions, explanations, hands
on/movement activities, and lastly a slide of “mini games”. The
teacher will guide students throughout the lesson but,
ultimately give the students the control to complete and
participate. To being the lesson the teacher will first shift to
slide two and have students complete the definitions to have a
quick warm up or basic understanding to complete further
slides. Next students will complete slide three by labeling the
appropriate pieces of a plant. The teacher can simply stop the
lesson here to move onto another section of the lesson plan or
finish progressing through the slide to gain additional and fun
information for each and every student. These slide and
activities can be done in groups or even as a class unit. Have

students work together to solve and discuss the slides.


Students should participate in these activities by moving and
manipulating each option available. The teacher is to simply
guide and ask or answer questions as needed. This activity
promotes social interaction and classroom engagement.
