Assignment Title: Q2- end of unit- Chaucer

Student Writing Goal: My writing goal is to score an 85% or higher on all my assignments. I want to be more of a
creative writer. I also want to include enough examples and fully explain the quotes I include in my writing.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of this writing assignment was to talk about Chaucer definition gender roles and honor, love, and
courage. I talked about how he used and defined courage in his writing.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I got a low grade on this assignment so I think I didn’t meet many parts of the rubric. I had little mistakes like
spelling and punctuation. I was missing too many commas and the length of my writing should’ve been
longer.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I think I did well in pulling out the example I was going to use from the reading. The quotes I used went
perfect with the message I was trying to give. I also explained them very well which made the writing easier
to understand.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I didn’t revise this piece because I finished it last minute. I decided to procrastinate and I didn’t get it done till
minutes before it was due. I did skim through it but since my mistakes weren’t too obvious I didn’t see them.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
In the next writing I will carefully look over it and pay more attention to the little details. I will also ask
someone to read over it for me and make changes that they see fit. Lastly I am not going to procrastinate. I
am going to do what I have to do first and in the end if there is time to sit and be on my phone then I will do
it.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I got an 85 on this assignment and although I technically did meet my goal I don’t think it is good enough. I
should’ve revised it and gotten a better grade for it.
