I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, at least 80% of the students should be able to:
 Define the six trigonometric ratios: sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, and
secant.
 Identify the six trigonometric ratios in a right triangle

III. Procedure
A. Prayer
B. Greetings
C. Classroom Management/Checking of Class Attendance
D. Review

The teacher will ask the students about the previous lesson they’ve discussed and what they’ve
learned from it.

E. Lesson Proper
i. Activity
The teacher will give first the instruction and present the activity to the
students. Then, the class will be group accordingly.
The teacher will give the students the needed materials for the activity. The
students will post the answers on the board.
ii. Analysis
Given triangle ABC and sides a, b, and c.

Sine is the ratio between the opposite side and the hypotenuse with respect to the given angle.

Cosine is the ratio between the adjacent side and the hypotenuse with respect to the given angle.

Tangent is the ratio between the opposite side and the adjacent side with respect with the given side.

Cosecant is the ratio between the hypotenuse and the opposite side with respect to the given angle.

Secant is the ratio between the hypotenuse and the adjacent side with respect to the given angle.

Cotangent is the ratio between the adjacent side and opposite side with respect to the given angle.

F. Evaluation/Assessment
Answer the following:

1. It is the opposite of .
2. It is the ratio between the opposite side and adjacent side with respect to the given
angle.
3. It is the ratio between the adjacent side and hypotenuse with respect to the given
angle.
