❖ How to get good Marks:

➢ All Questions to be attempted like a “Research Work”, i.e. profusely saturated
and decorated with “references” related to the topic from the given sources (At
least 3 to 5 per Question).;
✓ Quran
✓ Hadith
✓ Companions/Muslim Scholars/Books
✓ Orientalists (Non-Muslims/ Western Scholars)
✓ Poetry
➢ Write to the point and discuss all related items in a question.
➢ Attempt the best-prepared question first, and the suit as second best, the third and so
on.
➢ Give as much Headings as possible, and use a color marker as allowed by FPSC for
writing “Headings”, “Ahadith”, “Ayath”, and “Ashar” etc. to make them prominent.
➢ Attempt all the required questions in detail. You can cut short ‘second’, ‘third’ and
‘forth’ questions rationally, but not in any case the ‘first’ and ‘last’ questions.
➢ Writing must be legible and lucid, and the Quranic Verses be punctuated and
translated accurately.

❖ How to Attempt:

Salubrious expression and presentation of the Question fetch good marks. It is the
decoration of paper that provides the optimum score. Some valued tips may encapsulate;

➢ Start a Question with a ‘Sura/Verse’, ‘Hadith’, or with a ‘Saying/Quotation’ of a renowned

scholar.
➢ If started from Ayah or Hadith, try to remain in this and try to explain that Ayah or Hadith
in relation with the question.
➢ Try to explain the Verse or Hadith as a justification for your arguments, not go simply
explaining the Verse or Hadith. The written/quoted Verse or Hadith justify the writer’s
arguments and is written in support, advocacy or reference for writer’s comments/
arguments, not for the purpose of explaining it.
➢ Try to insert another Verse or Hadith after explaining the previous hadith in a previous
para and keep this precedent afterwards as well.
➢ An ideal question may well be summed up with a relevant Verse, Hadith, Sayings,
Quotations or with a Poetry.
➢ Keep an eagle eye on the watch and dedicate equal time for each Question. Do not
sacrifice one question at the cost of other (first and the last Question must be given
quintessential importance)
