Rules and Information

1. This event is selective. Please supply two or more examples of relevant work with this application. Applications are due
July 6, 2019, and can be mailed to: Perry Chalk Art Festival, 62 Dolbeer St, Perry, NY 14530. You will receive notice of your
acceptance in the festival shortly after the application date closes.
2. Artists can work on a solo square or as part of a group on multiple adjacent squares. Each artist will be provided with chalk
and with a 5’x5’ concrete working surface. Chalk and pastels are the only medium allowed for the festival. Concrete squares
are limited, so apply soon.
3. All artists must state the specific image to be drawn prior to confirmation of participation in the Festival. Festival organizers
reserve the right to deem subject matter inappropriate. Political or commercial advertisements and statements are not allowed.
4. Artist registration on event day is held between 8:00 -10:30am. Artists can work until 3:00pm.
5. $600 in total prizes is available. First prize: $400, second:$150, third: $50. Each accepted artist will receive a stipend
of $75 per completed chalk drawing. Decision of judges is final and binding. Judges reserve the right to re-allocate prize
money into other denominations.
GENERAL RELEASE AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT: I hereby and forever discharge, release and hold harmless the Perry Chalk Art
Festival and its sponsors from any loss or damage to my person or property while in the possession of or under the supervision of the Chalk
Festival and its sponsors. I hereby consent to the enforcement of the rules and instructions above. I acknowledge that Perry Chalk Art
Festival is entitled to use any photos or reproduction of art that I create. By signing below, I hereby certify that applicant(s) have read and
accepted the conditions above and certify that all information is true and correct.
