Group Reflection

The Runescape group play was way more fun than the solo play in my opinion. Having

people to actually play the game together makes it way more understanding when you get to a

confusing situation in the game. When you have teammates there to help you don’t have a

problem because three heads are better than one. There was still complications when it came to

playing the game as a group. First me having a chromebook was a problem and you couldn’t

play the game in Area 49 caused a problem for us. So we had to wait to play the game until

monday when I was able to get a laptop to use. But, overall the group gameplay was a lot of fun.

When we got together to play the game we tried to do a challenge together first, but we

didn’t know that once you are in a group. Everyone still has to go through the steps to start the

challenge and not just one person. After figuring that out we all took a trip to the catacombs and

fought monsters together. Fighting the monsters together was way better than separately doing it

because the monsters got stronger and we weren’t able to defeat them alone. It was very different

from playing by myself because the monsters were too strong for my level so it was nice to have

some assistance. My group member were also able to teach me things I didn’t know because one

of them had previously played the old runescape before. I couldn’t figure out how to make my

character run, but one of my group members helped me. Playing in the group definitely eased my

stress a lot more because I didn’t have to figure things out on my own. I would’ve given up a lot

earlier if it wasn’t for my group.

Playing in the group also helped me get to know my classmates. I learned my classmates

are very busy people. They don’t have a lot of free time unlike me because I have a lot of time on

my hands. When we were trying to decide what day and time everyone was free it was difficult

because they have busy lives and are stacked with classes. I had way more fun playing with

others because playing by myself was very stressful. After a while I gave up on the game when I

was playing by myself because it was a very confusing game. Playing with my group members

helped me from becoming confused. Since all of us started playing around the same time and

stopped around the same time we all had on the same outfit. So it was hard to tell what their

character really looked like because their heads were covered. But, their names were unique and

says a lot about their personalities. One of my group members name was Tumor time which is

weirdly unique. I don’t think anybody would come up with a name like that. That tells me

around close friends he has a silly or goofy personality. But, overall the group play was way

better than solo play. I would rather play with a group of people especially people I would have

more in common with. I wouldn’t mind playing with my group again.
