To Whom It May Concern:

I am interested in pursuing a marketing sales position with a strong company to start my career with, and I
believe I hold many qualities that separate me from other applicants. My competitive spirit, versatile
leadership, and personal drive to excel are essential personality traits that will serve well in your
company. I am currently a 4th-year business marketing major with an emphasis in digital media marketing
at Northeastern State University and I will graduate in May of 2019.

I have fifteen years of baseball experience that includes three years at Northeastern State. As a former
NCAA student-athlete, I was afforded the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to succeed in the
business world. Leadership, time management and working cooperatively with others toward a common
goal are just a few of those skills. Whether I was in a baseball game or a part of a team working on a
project, I established a reputation as a versatile team player covering multiple positions depending on
what the team needed and adapting quickly to changing responsibilities based on the necessary
demands. Baseball has also provided me with unique opportunities to overcome adversity. During the
three years at Northeastern, I suffered three season ending injuries and underwent five major surgeries. I
endured multiple months of painful rehabilitation and conquered each injury in order to return back to my
team and the field. It was these difficult experiences that allowed me to cultivate my endurance and work
ethic both on and off the field.

It was my skills and my drive to excel that led to acquiring an internship with the Dallas Stars. I quickly
transformed from a college student to a business professional in dress, speech and pace. I was allowed
to observe meetings where sponsorship deals with other companies were negotiated as well as other
companies attempting to sell their products or services to the Stars. My daily duties included developing
sponsorship proposals and season recaps through SportsDigita for a Vice President of sponsorships;
gathering images for proof of performances for sponsored purchases; assisting in the execution of
sponsor activations and special events; researching sponsor promotional ideas for possible future
implementation.

Upon graduating, I hope to work for a company that specializes in marketing and media marketing for all
types of companies, products, events and competitions. I believe my relationship with a strong company
would be mutually beneficial. I am seeking an organization to begin my career, to utilize my education
and current skills while continuing to improve my adaptability and work ethic.

I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss any job opportunities you might have.
Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward
to hearing from you,

Sincerely,

Ryan Neff
