 Afirmativa: sujeto + am (I) / is (he/she/it) / are (we/you/they) + verbo en –ing.

Reglas ortográficas para añadir –ing:

-Si acaba en –e, se quita la –e y se añade –ing: take-taking, live-living, make-making.

-Verbos de una sílaba acabados en 1 vocal+1 consonante, se dobla la consonante: run-

running, sit-sitting, put-putting, stop-stopping, swim-swimming.

-Verbos de dos sílabas y con acento en la última, se dobla la última consonante: refer-referring,
begin-beginning.

-Verbos acabados en –ie, se cambia –ie por –y: die-dying, lie-lying.

-Acabado en una –l: travel-travelling.

 Negativa: sujeto + am/is/are + not (am) n`t (is/are) + verbo en –ing.

En respuestas solo se pondría: Yes, sujeto + am/is/are (según la persona) o No, sujeto+
´m not/isn`t/aren`t (según la persona).

Usos del Present Continuous: Expresa lo que está ocurriendo en el momento de hablar o en el
periodo de tiempo presente.

Con el Present Continuous se suelen usar las siguientes expresiones temporales, que suelen
aparecer al final de la oración:

Now (Ahora).
At the moment (En este momento).
Right now (Ahora mismo)
Today (Hoy)
This week/month (Esta semana/mes)
These days (estos días)
