Crime in Tolleson

What if you could go outside without having to worry about anyone stealing or

kidnapping, or any crime? The issue in Tolleson is that we have a high rate of

crime. We need to stop or at least reduce this rate for our future generations.

Many people are being robbed and killed more often than you would thing. We

have 14.8% of crimes are robberies and 30.72% are assaults and burglaries

(“Community Involvement”). Also 1.48% of crimes are murder and another 1.48%

of crimes are rape (“Community Involvement”). Many people do crime here in

Tolleson every day, and many people don’t know why they do it.

Considering this issue, I propose that we got more police and cameras to help stop

it. The city will think it will cost too much. The average police officer cost about

$50-$60 and hour (cost helper.com). Also the average security camera cost about

$105.99(Newegg.com)

I am against the city, they would rather make the city nicer than safer. I’m sure it

would have took less money than redoing the whole city. It took a couple million

dollars to redo Tolleson (Mrs.Brankel). So if we were to hold off on redoing

Tolleson and hired some more police and bought some cameras, we could have

made our home (Tolleson) safer.

Many people are getting harmed or hurt, and could have been stopped if we saw it

on camera or a police would have been there quicker. As I stated earlier 1.48% of

crimes are murdered and the same percent is also rape (crimesopperUSA.com).

What if something more serious were to happen and there was a terrorist attack and

it could have been stopped if only we saw it on camera and we might have stopped

it ahead of time. Also if a bank robbery went on and we call the police but they are

all busy, if we had hired more in the first place we wouldn’t have this problem.

The problem is crime, police and cameras can help. We need the city consuls help

to help stop it. “Nicer or Safer”
