To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this letter in support of Alessandra Napoleon in her application for music teacher
positions for the 2019–2020 academic year. Alessandra was a member of the Temple Wind
Symphony under my direction, a saxophone player in a quartet for which I was the coach, and a
student in my advanced conducting class.

Throughout the time I have worked with Alessandra, she has consistently been an enthusiastic and
curious student, dedicated to both her instrument and her academic studies. She works hard and
is an absolute joy to have in any classroom setting. In addition to bringing a positive attitude and
energy to every endeavor, she soaks up new information quickly and eagerly.

Alessandra has dedicated herself wholeheartedly to the music education program here at Temple,
and I know she is well prepared for any job. She has the musical and extra-musical “chops” to take
on any challenge. As I mentioned above, she is also incredibly curious. I am positive she will
continue to grow and develop as a musician and teacher throughout her entire career. She will also
bring a high level of musicianship, pedagogy, and care to the students who are lucky enough to
have her as a teacher.

Alessandra has my highest recommendation, and I would be happy to discuss this further at any
time.

Sincerely,

Patricia Cornett, DMA
