DIRECTOR

CORDLE
Dr. Adam Paul Cordle directs Cordle Studios, where he teaches
violin, viola, and cello lessons, chamber music, and group classes. He
teaches courses in chamber music, music education, music history,

and music theory at Gettysburg College, coordinates the chamber
music program at the Messiah College Orchestra Camp, teaches viola
and chamber music at the Los Angeles Suzuki Institute, and coaches
viola sectionals for the Harrisburg Symphony Youth Orchestra. Locally, Dr. Cordle
directs If Music Be the Food…, a benefit concert series designed to support the
hunger relief efforts of the Gettysburg Community Soup Kitchen, and Music for All, a
community engagement program placing student musicians in local schools and
community centers to perform and discuss chamber music. Dr. Cordle is a board
member of the American Viola Society and a registered instructor with the Suzuki
Association of the Americas.
As a performer, Dr. Cordle has been featured as a soloist and chamber musician
in Asia, Europe, and North America, including Carnegie Hall’s Weill and Zankel
Halls. He performs with Trio Alexander, a flute-viola-harp ensemble, and in duo
partnerships with pianist Edith Widayani (Duo590), violinist Anyango Yarbo-
Davenport, and soprano Susan Hochmiller. Dr. Cordle serves as principal violist of Director
the Gettysburg Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Dr. Norman Nunamaker. Adam Paul Cordle

Deborah Barrett Price
Deborah Barrett Price is a violist recognized throughout the
country as an innovative pedagogue and versatile performer. She is the
founder and artistic director of the Chamber Music Connection, Inc. Guest Artists
(CMC), a nationally recognized program providing education, service, and Samuel DiCaprio
performance opportunities to students of all ages and skill levels. Ji-Yeon Lee
In recognition of her work as a chamber music entrepreneur, pedagogue, Edith Widyani
and performer, Price has received numerous awards, including the 2018 Chamber Music
Society of Lincoln Center Award for Extraordinary Service to Chamber Music and the 2013
Alumni Achievement Award from Baldwin Wallace Conservatory. In 2004, she was named Faculty Coaches
the Columbus 2004 Symphony Orchestra Community Educator of the Year in addition to Blanka Bednarz
receiving commendations from both the Ohio State Senate and the House of Representatives. Brian Buterbaugh
She has also received multiple nominations for the Ohio Governor’s Award for Arts Education
and Arts Administration (in 2010 and 2014). Her student ensembles have earned top

Competition, and the St. Paul String Quartet Competition.
Krista Kriel
A respected performer, Price currently serves as principal violist of both the Opera Project
Ashley McDaniel
Columbus and the McConnell Arts Center Chamber Orchestra. In the summers, she is an
artist-in-residence at the Caroga Lake Music Festival (NY) and serves on the faculty of several Norman Nunamaker
summer festivals. As a chamber musician, she has performed with members of the Hausmann
Jocelyn Swigger
Quartet, Cavani Quartet, Claremont Trio, and with numerous artists in faculty collaborations.
For over a decade, she served as the co-conductor of the Cleveland Institute of Music Youth
Camerata Strings and as the music director of the Women-In-Music String Sinfonia.
