Assignment Title: Q1 Mid-Unit: Resume

Student Writing Goal: My writing goal is to become a better writer and to improve my grammar because I see that
when I turn in my essay I get correction on my grammar. Also I need to stay on my topic my whole entire paragraphs.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.
3) Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.
4) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

My purpose for this writing assignment was to help me out on how to complete a resume to use throughout
my future for any job that I would be applying too. Also it helps me by describing what I am very good at and
so that in the real life they can see what I have and what are y experiences.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I have a feeling that in my resume I didn’t have a lot of good information that would get people’s attention
nor what they usually would be looking for. Although I only have one job currently right now that I’ve been
working there for one year and two months.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
That part of my resume that I like the most would have to be where I am explaining myself because that’s
where I said that I am a hardworking guy and also that I get my work done. I put that I wanted to be a barista
at Starbucks because I like the way how to make different drinks I am currently at McDonalds working and
when it comes to me doing coffees I do them really quick and I make sure people are satisfied with what they
ordered.
Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?
I won’t be using this essay to extend my essay because I feel like it doesn’t have enough information to show
people.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
I would make sure that all my grammar is correct and also I am going to make sure that I am not missing
anything. I would also make sure to stay on my topic my whole entire essay and to always make sense.
Although my resume was my first assessment I didn’t really try because it was barely the start of it.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
In all my essay I would hope to score at least a B or a A but would usually get C’s because of my grammar I
would usually not try hard enough to get to where I wanted my grade to be but now that I see it I am going to
try my hardest to score at least a 80% or higher so that I can accomplish my writing goal. And I know and
have confident in myself and I know I would get to where I want my grade to be.
