- Wear of the cage blades
- Guide vanes not adjusted

- Seal not well adjusted (big gap, impacts, vibra ons))
- Material deposits due to insufficient airflow distribu on in the guide vanes
7.8 Parameter of dimensioning:
The following parameters are widely accepted for a Portland cement (95-5):
- Pressure drop across separator: 200-250 mmH2O
- Installed separator power consump on: ±0,5 kWh/t
- Installed fan power consump on: ±2,5 kWh/t
- Ra o cage diameter - cage height: from 1 to 4 according the supplier
- Specific air load in the feed (ra o tonnage per hour of feed material - air flow in m3/h): max. 2,5 kg/m3
- Specific air load in the fines (ra o tonnage per hour of fines material - air flow in m3/h): max. 0,8 kg/m3
- specific rotor load (ra o tonnage per hour of fines material - area in m2 of the rota ng cage): max. 12 t/h.m2
- Circumferencial speed: 5-30 m/sec
- Air speed through cage: 4 m/sec

- To avoid dust emissions, the separator system must be underpressure (±50 mmH2O). In order to maintain that target,
an addi onal filter must be installed in case of cyclones design. The addi onal air flow corresponds to ±10% of the
separator air flow.
