ISTE: Students use a variety of technologies within a design process to identify and solve problems by creating new,
useful or imaginary solutions.

Objectives: Students will be able to Solve quadratic equations in one variable

Differentiation Strategies (How will the lesson address the various learning styles of the students and the
needs of those with special needs?):

Inclusion students: [ALGI.18b.4]: Solve quadratic equations by factoring.

WIDA Standard 3: English Language Learners communicate information ideas and concepts necessary for academic
success in the context area of mathematics.

Students will be grouped with partners. Teacher and collaborative teacher will co-teach to help students with learning
disabilities. Extra help will be given by the teacher for the slower learners as the collaborative teacher assist other
students. The Spanish teacher will collaborate with the math teacher and ELL students to help clarify understanding of
assignments. Differentiated instruction will be given by lowering the Algebra 1 level to basic math level.
