Dr. T.K. Kunhamu is Associate Professor
and Head, Dept. of Silviculture and
Agroforestry, College of Forestry,
Vellanikkara, K.A.U., Thrissur, Kerala, India.
He has lot of experience in forest research
and teaching since 2003. He has published
approx. 25 research papers in different
journals like: Canadian Journal of Forest
Research, Current Science; Agroforestry
System, My Forest, Natural rubber research
and several papers published in seminar,
symposium and Workshop.
He received "Best presentation Award" in
'Annual Group Meeting of All India
Coordinated Research Project on
Agroforestry' held on July, 2009 at PDKV,
Nagpur. He also received appreciation letter
from Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, KAU for his
excellent contribution in teaching, research
and successful conduct of the National
Training Workshop on Natural resource
Management on Feb, 2003 at KAU. He is a
life member of the Indian Society of
Agroforestry. He is 'Principal Investigator'
in ICAR sponsored AICRP on Agroforestry
and other external aided projects.

Mr. Vikas Kumar is pursuing Ph.D Forestry

(Agroforesty) in college of Forestry, vellanikkara
under the K.A.U.,Thrissur (Kerala)- 680656. He
graduated from college of Forestry, Ponnampet
under the U.A.S., Bangalore (Karnataka) and Post
graduated from ASPEE college of Horticulture and
Forestry under the N.A.U., Navsari (Gujarat). He
worked as JRF & RF in different projects such as
"Forest Resources Survey, Valsad Division, Surat
Circle, Gujarat" and "NTFP's of Gujarat with
emphasis on potential and prospects of NTFP's of
Dangs". He is a passionate writer who aspires to
bring about change through the power of the pen
and hence, blogging is his hobby. He wrote four
books: "Ecology of Rare and Endangered Plant
Species of Dang's Forest, Gujarat"; "Eucalyptus
Forestry
Clones and Species Against Gall Insect on
Morphology Basis" ; "Non Timber Forest Products:
Availability, Production, Consumption,
Management, Marketing and Policy in Gujarat,
India" and "Studies on Chracterization of Banan
cv. Grand Naine". He has contributed a chapter
title "Indigenous Knowledge of Wild Plant Species
of South Gujarat" in "Ethnobotanical Studies in
India". His achievements and awards are "National
Talent Scholarship (NTS) through ICAR in July
2006 to june 2010; JRF, GUJCOST in April 2011
to March 2012 and "Best Poster Presentation" in
the National workshop on Tree seed science and
silviculture organized at IFGTB, Coimbatore from
28th-29th Nov, 2013. He qualified the ASRB NET

(Including previous ASRB NET, JRF and SRF solved questions) Phenology of Tropical Tree Species –Tectona
grandis, Terminalia arjuna and Steruclia
urens". Submitted under SCI-TECH scheme of
GUJCOST (Gujarat Council for Science &
Technology) Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
