A RESOLUTION OF NEUST – SAN ISIDRO CAMPUS STUDENT COUNCIL

APPROVING THE HOLDING OF THE 2018 ALAY SA FRESHMEN PROGRAM
IN THE FORM OF ACQUAINTANCE PARTY TO BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER
14, 2018 AT THE SAN ISIDRO CAMPUS GYMNASIUM.

WHEREAS: that one of the sworn commitments of the duly elected officers of the
NEUST – San Isidro Campus Student Council is geared towards students’ development;

WHEREAS: that the development is not only confined in academic or extra-curricular

undertakings but also in activities like social interactions;

WHEREAS: that the NEUST - San Isidro Campus Student Council, being one of the
governing student bodies in the campus, have unanimously decided to conduct an Alay Sa
Freshmen in the form of Acquaintance party;

WHEREAS: that the beneficiaries of this activity are the whole NEUST – SIC studentry
especially the freshmen students of the campus both in high school and college departments
for the Academic Year 2018 – 2019;

WHEREAS: that the event consists primarily of: morning activities such as Got Talent,
and Non – Political Student Organizations’ booth: and evening activities such as
Socialization, Oath–Taking of the newly elected officers of the Campus Student Council,
Confederation Officers and Non – Political Student Organization Officers, Mr. and Ms.
Alay Sa Freshmen 2018, and performances of each Non–Political Student Organization
entitled “BIDA NPSO”;

WHEREAS: that the Socialization will give each student the chance to know each other
thereby building their brotherhood and sense of friendship;

WHEREAS: that the Oath–Taking of the newly – elected officers of the Campus Student
Council, each Confederation Officers and Non–Political Student Organization Officers
will make our student leaders become dedicated in their areas of leadership and for them
to show their passions and commitments in serving the NEUST;

WHEREAS: that the Mr. and Ms. Alay Sa Freshmen 2018 aims to select students with
pleasing looks and wit that will represent the San Isidro Campus in the beauty competition
outside the campus grounds;

WHEREAS: that the Got Talent gives San Isidro Campus students a chance to showcase
their talents aside from academics or athletics;

WHEREAS: that the cultural presentations of each Non-Political Students Organization

will induce the student’s gladness after each NPSO had showcased their talents in the
different fields of specialization such as dancing, singing, acting and others;

WHEREAS: the amount of FORTY PESOS (Php 40) ONLY is compulsory for each
student and this amount will be used for convenience of the attendees during the event;

WHEREAS: that the Campus Student Council officers shall coordinate the Local Police
Station, Barangay Tanod Officials and the NEUST – San Isidro Campus Civil Security
Unit to ensure maximum security and orderliness all throughout the program;

Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the 2018

Alay Sa Freshmen Program in the form of acquaintance be held on August 24, 2018 at the
San Isidro Campus Gymnasium.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Office of
the Campus Director, Office of the Academic Related Programs Head, Office of the
Student Affairs Chairman, Office of the Students’ Organization, Activities and
Development Head, Campus Student Council Adviser, Faculty Members and Non–
Academic Personnel for appropriate dissemination of information.

In lieu to this, we are humbly asking your good office to allow us to conduct the 2018 Alay
Sa Freshmen in a form of Acquaintance Party this coming September 14, 2018. This event
aims to give students the chance to socialize with their co – students and to give talented
students the chance to showcase their talents. May we also request for your approval to let
the Student Council to collect the amount of Forty Pesos (Php 40) in every student of the
campus. Rest assured that the amount that will be collected will be used solely for the
purpose of convenience and other matters related to the student development.
