Technology Implementation

It goes without saying that technology has evolved drastically over the course of many
years, it has had multitudinous positive and negative effects on our everyday lives. From the
early history of technology being invented, to it being embedded in engineering; the intention of
technology is to introduce techniques, methods, and machinery to accomplish the job faster and
with better quality. Before the emergence of modern day technology, life was laborious and
everyday errands took way more time to complete. Many opportunities came with technology as
it is now simpler to do almost everything. The access to education, medicine, transportation etc.
has been simplified due to the technology we are now provided with. Modern day technology has
provided us with the convenience of doing things faster and much more efficiently. There used to
be a time when executing a simple task like doing laundry would take most of the day. With
modern technology everything almost everything has been simplified to hitting a certain setting
or button to complete a task. Technology utility ranges from the usual: communication,
education, engineering, and it is even used in the medical field. However there are more formal
terms and jobs titles such as: computer technology, construction engineering technology,
concrete industry management technology, electrical and computer engineering technology and
mechanical engineering technology. The way technology has developed is composing human
performances and making them technical, for example, back in the day sending a message was
not as simple as it is now. Writing letters has been altered to simply hitting lettered keys, turning
in a research paper, is as simple as clicking submit, and getting medical lab results back, in just
minutes! Technology influences society through its productions and tactics, Technology
encourages the character of life and the ways people interact with one another.

The history of technology is the invention of tools and techniques used to construct what
used to be human handiwork into the machine's job. Many of today's most popular software,
technologies and devices have proven themselves thoroughly on large-scale building and
infrastructure projects. According to the World Economic Forum, "Wherever the new
technologies have properly permeated this fragmented industry, the outlook is an almost 20
completion time, quality and safety” (How Technology Is Changing the Construction Industry)
Technology can refer to methods ranging from as simple as stone tools to the complex genetic
engineering and information technology that has emanated since the 1980s. Yes, the equipment
used is expensive, but they are efficient when it comes to constructing merchandise. If it were
not for the manufacturing machines that are attainable, constructing commodity would be much
Virtually, no manner of modern life has been unaffected by technology, let alone
engineering. Technology has changed the way engineers are taught and trained now a days, and
even engineering itself. Now a days, companies don’t just hire anyone when it comes to
employment, they want people who have expertise in both Engineering and IT. They want
employees to be able to work IT, and know how the equipment was engineered, and vice versa.
The first commercial, digital and programmable robot was built by George Devol in 1954
and was named the Unimate. It was sold to General Motors in 1961 where it was used to lift
pieces of hot metal from die casting machines. Technology eventually became something more
than just a robot lifting and landing materials. It soon became creating and building things faster
and more efficiently than humans. Now there are companies with machines dedicated to

manufacturing other machines. Vehicles, motors, computers, and more are all engineered by
machines.
Each year, science and technologies expand more and more as producers continue to
create and put out systems to please consumers who demand bigger and better operation systems
to continue to better their everyday lives and make them easier. According to the U.S. Bureau of
Labor Statistics (BLS), the computer science industry is projected to grow much faster than other
industries over the next 10 years. Computer engineers are constantly working on and creating
new computer parts and gadgets to better build and add more advanced technology to modern
smart gadgets, such as computers, tablets, and smart phones. Computer engineers usually take
care of with hardware to software mending, which also translates to designing and building
hardware to help an inclined program. Additionally, now a days computers and technologies are
getting smaller and more portable, they need small microchips that work productively.
do research, to educate and to learn. “It is the result of a technological revolution that has been in
the making for four decades and is now, quite literally, hitting home.” (The Evolution of
Technology in the Classroom) Having technology in the classroom has made it a whole lot easier
for students and teachers to be able to interact in the education world. Ranging from smart
phones, to iPods, and iPads, the increased amount of technology in the classrooms themselves
also include, smart-boards to computer labs and online classes. Students are now able to do
assignments, assessments, and studying on computers and tablets. Home schooled students now
have it easier because they can do almost everything online. For example, teachers and students
can email one another when it comes to questions about assessments and assignments. “There is
no short supply of apps today that help users create interactive stories, work on math problems

with one another in a digitally synchronous environment, and even more amazing are the apps
like ShowMe that allow users to create a lesson to teach a concept with the world as well as
browse a huge library of these user generated videos to learn from as well.” (How to use a single
iPad to benefit your entire class) Students, modern day have grown up with technology; it is
threaded into their lives. Using technology in the classroom is not just about electronic devices in
class, it relates to anything that furthers an interaction between students and teachers. On the not
so bright side of technology, it could be viewed as the culprit, especially in getting students off
task; or it could be harnessed to improve engagement and effectiveness. Technology has made
access to education easier but it is also dawning on weakening student’s thoughts and memories.
They fail to spell words correctly or write fully grammatically correct sentences, because they
get used to using abbreviations and acronyms. Technology will continue to make life easier for
disabled students, help students become more prepared to the real world, and more
knowledgeable about the world as a whole. Technology and the education system will always go
hand in hand now that we live in a technology influenced society. It will be up to this generation
to make sure that these developments in technology continue to evolve and fit the needs of
Transportation wouldn’t be as simple without technology. Back then people would signal
for a taxi, or have their own cars. Now, people are able to call for a transportation services. Cars
have also came a long way, they are engineered differently as more and more technology is
being added to the constructing of a car. Most cars now have GPS devices imbedded into the cars
to make it easier and safer for drivers to be able to navigate without having to hold a phone in
their hands; instead the cars device can help the driver navigate with a slighter larger screen and

more accuracy. The same goes when it comes to planes, they are constructed to be more superior
Engineering technology in the medical field is definitely existent. Another word for this
equipment for medical purposes. For example, artificial internal organs, replacements for body
parts, and machines for diagnosing medical problems; creating artificial organs is extremely
valuable now a days. Biomedical engineers have been constantly working on ways to help create
functioning devices and pharmaceuticals to help with hearing and vision loss. Technology also
causes serious health problems because people become sleep deprived now since taking time off
of their electronics seems nearly impossible to comprehend. This leads to weakened vision,
hearing issues, obesity and even cancer. Also, people have also become a lot lazier and prefer
sitting, watching television and listening to music instead over walking or going outdoors,
There are clearly both advantages and disadvantages of technology use, it has become a
huge part of an everyday lifestyle. However, technology use should not be excessive, it comes to
times like this when it is used to an extent that can lead to accidents, bad grades and even bad
dates. Excessive use of technology can cause a lot of complications socially, physically and
serious health problems in children and adults. Yes, technology is fun and easy to use, but it
should not have to replace everyday activities that people did before the growth of technology.
People should still be able leave their homes and go for a walk, go shopping, go to parks and
enjoy the outdoors. Instead people now a days people watch television instead of reading a book,
or play video games instead of getting fresh air, and even grocery shop by placing orders online,
and have it delivered to their house because they have just become too lazy. It is important for
teenagers and adults to understand that technology may be an astonishing invention, and it can be
worth investing in, however it should not be an excessive thing. Teenagers, adults even, should
not be overly dependent on technology, they should not expect it to be reliable at all times. Yes,

it does make our lives easier but it also takes away from our lives as well, as people become less
