This semester wasn’t the easiest juggling college life and problems caused me to miss
more classes than usual but I created a plan at the end and made it work. Also, I struggled with
the tech savvy part of the class. Not being very interested in creating websites and blogs I kind of
gave that part of a paper less attention than I should have. But one thing I can say is that I really
improves in writing papers. Coming from last semester this class really helped me improve in
writing paper for any subject. This year I aveerage like an 85% on all my paper being research
papers, history paper or even math papers. Which leads me to my next point, I really feel
comfortable with typing paper on topics surrounding my major. Another thing is I’m also more
aware of my grammar and diction within my papers. Improving in grammar help me improve as
a writer altogether. One goal I am setting for me next semester is to keep improving in research
papers while also improving in papers I have to do that i’m not interested in. To start the year off
Dr. Cuddy had us watch the film Mad Max and write a Literary Analysis paper on it. This project
I found was very cool and a nice way to start the year. I really felt this was one of the most
interesting papers I’ve done in a while. The next project we worked on had 3 parts to it. Starting
with the the research paper proposal. The research proposal was an activity where I had to plan
ahead and gain sources on a topic surrounding my major. I learned how to do in depth research
on my topic and find the information I needed for the paper. For the paper I investigated how
much the NFL makes and where they spend it. In the report I proposed the question how some
teams impact their fan base and cities by winning games, landing new players, building new
stadiums, etc. This question allowed me to gain information on a wide scale. From getting the
ticket prices and attendance to game to finding out the fan satisfaction rating and total revenue
the NFL makes. The last step was to create something creative to appeal to my audience so I put
together two different infograms. One was created for the average NFL fan and the other for
businessman looking to invest in the NFL as a company. Lastly, I was given the Task to create a
website and put everything we did throughout the year on it while still making it look appealing.
I will accomplish this with a simple design keeping it fresh and very simple to understand.
