I am currently a student at the Northern Film School in Leeds, hoping to pursue a career within the filmmaking
industry. Studying at the Northern Film School has given me the important skills required to work to the best
possible standard within the film industry. I have impeccable communication skills allowing me to work in a
collaborative setting (which the film industry is), as well as being an approachable, friendly individual that works
with others at ease. I hope to be a writer/ director and/or cinematographer. I am extremely passionate about these
roles within the film industry and enthusiastic toward any project with regard to working within these roles.

Currently in my second year of studies, specialising in cinematography and screenwriting.
3 A Levels I attained 3 A Levels whilst studying at Huddersfield New College, B Film Studies, B English
Literature, and C Classical Civilisations.
9 GCSEs I attained 9 GCSEs whilst studying at Salendine Nook High School (Huddersfield), B English
Literature, B ICT, B Media Studies, B Science (additional), C Math, C History, C English Language,
C Science (core), and C Graphics Design.

Contribution: Working on this drama taught me considerable amounts in working within a large crew and how to behave
on set; this being with cast and crew. Being the first time, I have worked with external actors, I demonstrated my ability to
communicate with people in a professional and polite manor. Working within the cinematography department allowed me to
express my creative ability as I had a great relationship with the cinematographer. We worked together to create a realistic
home setting that has been complimented by many.

Contribution: Making a documentary on the first ever football club was an amazing experience as we were working with
such a staple of football history, football being a passion of mine. Through making this documentary it further enhanced my
ability to build friendships as we constantly had to communicate with complete strangers; these strangers all being
completely different from the last.

Contribution: Working on an experimental film allowed me to explore the depths of my creativity, exploring emotion
through the use of colour; with the underlying message being that in modern day we are disconnected to our own emotions
through developments in technology.

Production: I Can’t Hear You, but I Can Dance with you

Contribution: Being the first dance film I have worked on I feel as though I contributed a great deal. Again, communicating
with actors was no problem for me, I see it as a pleasure to have extra people to talk to when on set. I created a lighting set
up that fit the director’s vision for the film; demonstrating my ability to communicate with my fellow cast.

Contribution: Shooting this music video was a great experience and allowed me gain knowledge in working in another
area of the industry. Shooting the film I enhanced my knowledge of the drama, giving me the confidence to do it again in
the future.
Other Experience

New Look (2016- Present) – Working in retail for the past three years has allowed me to practice meeting new people, as
you are constantly do it in that environment. Furthermore because of this I can build friendships faster than the average
person, something that is integral to succeeding in the film industry.

I am a fun and outgoing person that finds as much time as possible for those important to me. I am extremely dedicated
and give my full attention and passion to any project I work on. My interests vary from watching films and television to
football. I am a very social person and hate having no plans.
