On April 30th/May 1st, 2019 – I attended the 2019 BC Broadband Conference in Richmond, BC

At the Conference – I attended the following sessions:

• Connectivity and Connected Communities BC


• Annual Legal and Regulatory Update
• Connected Coast Project – Collaboration and Update
• Fibre Optic Valuation for Assessment Purposes
• The Challenge! Build Gigabit Fibre Network in Rural BC

I have briefed the Cariboo RD Board on the above noted sessions I attended and suggested the Board will want to
consider a connectivity strategy to guide its’ actions in relation to internet and cell phone services in the rural
areas of the Cariboo Regional District. I expect the Board will take up this matter further at its’ upcoming
Strategic Planning Session this month

Mileage from WL/Richmond roundtrip -- $612.15


2019 BC Broadband Conference Registration Fee - $315.00
Hotel Expenses -- $385.02
