The fight against anti-illegal drugs has been the battle cry of President Rodrigo R.
Duterte from the onset of his administration until present, and anti-illegal drugs
has been recognized as one of the major components in the endeavour towards

involvement to contribute in addressing problems on illegal drugs down to its
sources and focused on increasing public awareness on their role to proactively

Exposure to violence as a child is a risk factor for involvement in intimate partner
violence as an adult. Growing up in a violent home has important implications for
child development and subsequent behaviour as an adult. In particular,
experiencing child maltreatment and witnessing partner abuse in the home as a
child have consistently been demonstrated to be risk factors for becoming both a

perpetrator and victim of sexual and intimate partner violence as an adult. This
intergenerational impact of exposure to childhood violence is stronger for
becoming a perpetrator of sexual and intimate partner violence. That is why, it is
important to discuss the interconnections and implications of violence against
children and violence against women in the community.
