A television is a source that provides everyone with a lot

of entertainment for it is one of the best inventions that
science has helped to bring into being. Television, also
shortened to be called a TV or tele was invented by a
Scottish scientist named John Logie Baird. The word
television is coined from two words. Tele meaning distant
and vision meaning sight/to see. There are a lot of
information and educative programs that are shown daily and
it brings a wide array of things to see starting from
movies, music, and it also helps to gain knowledge. Since
the invention of television, it has helped immersely in
broadcasting a lot of information.

The first invented television in January 1, 1928 called The

Octagon Television. It was the first mechanical tv made by
General Electric and it was powered by rapidly spinning
wheels and it had a 3-inch screen. They made the TV as an
experiment and was meant to air the first drama, The Queen’s
messages. After eight years, the Emyvisor, a French TV, was
invented in January 1, 1936. This tv increases the image by
adding a magnifying lens to make it eight inches. It is
featured with “ vision only “, which meant a separate radio
had to be purchased. Only ten of these sets were made. Not
long after, the Motorola “Golden View” was invented in
January 1, 1948. It is considered the best and most
affordable at the time. It came in portable and tabletop
cabinets with 7 inch screen with a permanent magnet speaker
and only weighed about 26 lbs. Eventually, another type of
tv was invented in January 1, 1953 named Sharp. It is the
first Japan-made television that was in mass production. A
total of 14 inches with a wood frame in wide screen made it
well-known. One of the expensive televisions in Japan and
not the common household television. Later on, the Philco
Predicta was made in January 1, 1958. This TV’s style is
well-known for its 1950s retro/futuristic design. It can
have a 17 or 21 inch screen that can swivel on its tube. One
of its best features was its wide screen. The next invention
in January 1, 1962 was called Meidensha. This was developed
by the Japanese, this is another well-known TV model that
could come in 10 to 21 inch screens, but only a couple were
available in order. After several years, the HDTV was
invented in January 1, 1981. The Japanese developed the
first HDTVs, but weren’t common until later on. Not long
after, the Sony FD Trinitron WEGIT was invented in January
1, 1998. This flat-screen television is the first to have a
built-in VCR and DVD player. It had many more channels and
the screen size was largely increased and improved.
Eventually, Flat-Panel TVs was invested in January 1, 2007.
This became more popular as they got more affordable.
Samsung was the leading seller. The televisions were flat
and had high resolutions; one of the first kind with plasma.
Finally, the best among the rest was invested in January
10,2012 which are the Smart and Curved TVs. Samsung and LG
introduced Smart TVs and Curved TVs which can connect to the
internet and have a multiple apps with 3D features. The
curved screen is supposed to give the perfect viewing angle
at any spot with incredibly consistent contrast and doesn’t
distort colors.

The television is one of the greatest things that has been

established in mankind and as useful as it is, it has to be
used in moderation and there are ways that have been
