TEENAGERS GRADE X
in SMK PGRI 2 KEDIRI MAJORING CULLINARY ART

Vaginal discharge (Flour Albus) is a condition that often experienced by almost all of
women in this world. If that problem is not resolved properly it will result in the occurrence of
infections on her genitalia and it causes cancer. This problem can be solved with providing
guidance about vaginal discharge regarding physiological and pathological methods so that
problem can be prevented as early as possible. The purpose of this research is to give a
knowledge for young women about vaginal discharge.
The design of this research is using descriptive with cross sectional approach. The
scope of this research is teenagers especially young women at grade X in SMK PGRI 2 Kediri
majoring culinary art which has population 52 people and the sampling technique for this
research is using total sampling. The data was collected from the questionnaires. The data
processed using coding, editing, scoring, and tabulating. The data analyzed using percentage
formulation.
The results obtained that 51.9% of the respondents or 27 from 52 young women have a
good knowledge about vaginal discharge (flour Albus). The knowledge of young women about
understanding the vaginal discharge which having good knowledge is about 41 respondents
(78.8%), various types of vaginal discharge with good criteria is about 24 respondents (46.2%),
causes of vaginal discharge with less criteria is about 37 respondents (71.2%), Leucorrhoea
treatment with less criteria is about 28 respondents (53.8%), and vaginal prevention with good
criteria is about 26 respondents (50%).
Based on the results of this research can be concluded that the knowledge of young
women about vaginal discharge (flour Albus) is good. We recommend for the school parties to
make cooperation with health workers in delivering reproductive health education especially
vaginal discharge (flour Albus) so all of the students can understand the importance of
maintaining the cleanliness of their genitalia.
