The Substation is integrated in a building complex and

installed underground in Level-3 and Level-4. More than
250 t of materials and equipment had to be craned in to a
point 15m below ground level.

The substation is located in the soccer stadium St. Gallen. It was a

big challenge to coordinate the implementation of the substation
with the ongoing work on site.
Transformer openings are closed with prefabricated concrete slab,
which can be removed with reasonable effort.

The location is between school playground and a

motorway about 4m above. The substation is
used to equalize the height difference and to
detain the noise from the cars .
The 2 storey building with cable basement has an
even access for transformers. The other side is
covered by the rising plot.
