IBM Ph.D. Fellowship [Multiyear]
For Ph.D. students in most disciplines with research projects that are important to IBM. Preference given to previous associations with IBM. Must be

For students with research broadly related to cardiovascular function and disease and stroke, or related to clinical, basic science, bioengineering or

NSF Biological Sciences Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grant (DDIG) [Dissertation]
These grants provide partial support of doctoral dissertation research in topics related to behavioral and environmental biology. Costs related to

Open to students with citizenship in one of the 35 countries within the American States. Usual deadline: varies by country.

American Association of University Women (AAUW) International Fellowship [Multiyear, Women Only]
Provides renewable support for graduate or postgraduate study in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Preference is given to women who show prior commitment to the advancement of women and girls through civic, community, or professional work.

Department of Energy Nuclear Energy University Program Fellowship (DOE NEUP) [Multiyear]
Fellowships for first- and second-year graduate students in science and engineering programs related to nuclear energy. A 10-week internship at a
secondary DOE or IUP facility is required. Notre Dame has recently acquired IUP status for eligibility. Usual deadline: varies.

Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Admin. Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE NNSA SSGF) [Multiyear]
For first- and second-year PhD students with research related to stewardship science, nuclear energy, and physics. Fellowship is accompanied by

Up to 6 years of support for US citizens pursuing graduate degrees in the physical sciences and related engineering fields, emphasizing recruitment of

NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards for Individual Predoctoral Fellows (F31)* [Pre-dissertation]
Support for promising doctoral candidates who will be performing dissertation research and training in scientific health-related fields relevant to the

Prestigious fellowship that allows for a study, research, or ESL teaching abroad. Encourages STEM students to apply. The Office of Grants and

Whitaker International Program [Academic Year]
The Whitaker International Program sends emerging leaders in U.S. biomedical engineering or bioengineering overseas to undertake a self-designed

Presidential Management Fellows STEM (PMF STEM) [Dissertation Completion]
Fellowships and job appointments for MS, PhD, and professional degree students who will graduate within two years. Includes a government job in a
key STEM field and the opportunity to contribute feedback on policies. Preference given to veterans and enrolled tribal members. Online assessment in

American Association of University Women (AAUW) American Fellowship [Dissertation Completion, Women Only]
