Maha Rudra Yagya will be performed for three days. This grand 3-day Yagya is Loka Kalyana – a
prayer seeking health, wealth, prosperity and welfare for all devotees, community members and for
Universal Peace. Golden opportunity to witness and participate in a Yagya of this significance and
magnitude comes rarely.

Sri Rudram is an ancient Vedic hymn in praise of Lord Shiva, and is the oldest prayer with a listing of
various names of Lord Siva. On chanting Sri Rudram, Lord Siva’s Divine qualities are invoked and
worshipped. Pacified of his anger (roudra) by the chanting of Sri Rudram, Lord Shiva grants the
devotees with everything one could aspire for, for the highest level of happiness. Maha Rudra Yagya is a
powerful form of worshipping Lord Siva, the very source of cosmic energy for the Universal creation
and beyond.
Please come forward to help conduct this Yagya in a Grand manner.

About Sri Rudram

Comprising of Namakam and Chamakam, Sri Rudram is also known as Rudraprasna. It
is part of the Yajur Veda and one of the greatest of the Vedic hymns for all round benefits
of mankind and is known to remove all doshas (sins/ defects) and difficulties. The first
part, chapter 16 of the Yajur Veda, is known as Namakam because of the repeated use of
the word “Namo” in it. The second part, chapter 18 of the Yajurveda, is known as
Chamakam because of the repeated use of the words “Cha me”, meaning “Grant Me”.
Chamakam is a prayer requesting the Almighty to bestow one with that he desires in this
world and beyond.
