The following procedure details Launch and Recovery of the FRC onboard the Creole Fish. Each step should be
completed in sequence, with involved personnel conducting the necessary toolbox talks and JSA prior to work
commencement.

1. Prior to launch visually inspect the lifting slings, shackles and pad-eyes to ensure they are in good condition and
remain fit for their intended purpose.
2. Check that the boat is dry, clean and tidy with all ropes stowed properly.
3. Check all safety devices and communications are present and in place (x2 flares, whistle, medical kit, radio,
paddles etc.), as detailed in the Exxon GP.
4. Complete diesel outboard engine checks, ensuring there is sufficient fuel, oil and fully charged 12v starter batteries,
with suitable spares and toolbox.
5. Pick up and overboard the FRC using the port crane close to and adjacent to the launch area. A bow and stern line
should be used to help orientate the boat correctly tended from starboard aft or port aft dependent on current / wind
direction.
6. Deploy the coxswain, deck hand
7. Slowly slew the FRC into position to allow safe transfer
8. Coxswain transfers into the FRC whilst the deck hand helps keep the boat steady with stern line
9. Start up the engine and disconnect the crane.
10. When all onboard the deckhand can transfer into the boat, releasing any lines.
11. Proceed to the worksite (topside lookouts should monitor the weather)
12. Reverse the procedure steps 5-12 for recovery.
