Đề 1, 2, 3 : What is common language? Advantage?

Why is it necessary for

people expecially young ones to study foreign language?

- Common language is language spoken by more and more people_allowing

them to communicate.

+ More than 300.000.000 million people speak English as their native

language. Another 300 million speaks it as a second language. Chinese is the
only language with more speaker than English. But because of the huge
population of China, more than 1 billion people.

+ More people study English than any other language. Many universities
around the world apply the curriculum in English.

=> So English become common language.

* Advantage : There are numerous advantage that common language bring to

pp.

- The first, it is an essential tool for everyone in the world to

communicate with many people and bringing it all together.

+ Common language is a doorway to making new friend, expanding your

horizons and boading your life experiences. It help you improve your
knowledge about other cultures. Let's face it, language and culture go hand in
hand. To truly understand a culture, you have to know what the people are
talking about.

+ You can study abroad.

- Second, you can travel overseas . When traveling or visiting different

countries if people don’t speak your native language , English come to the
recue, so a little knowledge or maybe basic knowledge of English it also very
helpful when you visit different countries. An Australian philosopher say that
“ The limits of your language are the limits of your worl.” And I think it
right, knowing more than one language opens your vacation destination
possibilities.
- Thirth, when you can speak English, you will have more opportunity to
find a good job and go ahead in career , you can work in international
corporations with high salaries and good working environment.
But it have bad sides, educational experts fear that the widespread use of
English will make even more people believe that a knowledge of foreign
languages is unnescessary. I think we should learn as many languages as
possible.

Đề 4 : List some way people could use to improve English

When we learn our native language, first we listen, then we speak, then we read
and finally we write. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are the four
language skills we need to develop for complete communication.

Listening to music in E and learn the lyrics .

Read children’s books and watch children’s cartoons. The big reason is the
languge that used in these book is of course for children so it very easy to
understand. And of course there are lots of pictures in these book illustration are
given ,so you would know what they are talking about or what written about .

Read or watch the news in English like BBC, CNN... You can know what’s
happening in the world (updating yourself with current affairs and build your
listening skills. And talk about it with friend.

Change the language on your phone or computer to English. Which most of

us use it in daily basis => It will help you to learn a lot of new words.

Practice speaking every day because more you practice the language would
come naturally to you. Listening music or video everywhere and try to speak
out the sentences.

You should find a partner to speak E with. If you don’t have any friends to
practice speaking E with you , you can stand in front of a mirror and talk to
yourself. This method also helps to improve your grammar , vocabulary and
sentense structure. After you practice this technique regularly you can feel
confident to express your idea in English.

Every night spend 5 minute writing what you did thoughout the day. Note
new words and learn by heart.

Đề 7 : “Work to live’ and “ live to work”

- “Living to work” means that the majority of your time, energy and focus is
primarily on your work. They want to earn more money or promote in the
job, have successful carer. They consider working is the most important part
of life. That means they must sacrifice their personal life, such as time to take
care of yourself and your family.( Instead using day off to go to cinema,
shopping with friend or eating with family or simply resting at home they are
busy with a lot of papers, plans,..even seat in front of the computer all day.)

- It is obvious that work as part of living but with someone who “ Working to
live” work is not central of their lifes. They work because it is near
impossible to exist, they need income to serve their imperative needs. Rather
than focusing primary on work, they focus on enjoy the life and simple work
enough to pay for the activities they want to do. => So they can pick and
choose their work and spend time to themselves to family and friend.

+Both lifestyle are completely right or wrong. It depends on each

invidual’s choice. But sb say that “Making just money is living to work.
Making memories is working to live.” I think it's right. In my opinion, I
choose wokring to live because I relize simply fact that life is short. I want to
enjoy time I have while I still can. I will not “ bury ” myself at work.

=> Everyone would try to find the way to balance work and life. (eg. Find
the work that is enjoying and fulliling, offer flexible work enviroment, although
busy don’t forget take care of yourself, take a rest, arrange time to met friend,
don’t bring too much work to go home….)

with some fast food and then come back to your seat at work.

=> You’ll feel stressful (Enduring stress, you will be faced with some
problems as callous feeling, negative thoughts in work and life, depression all
the time ).
- Some people say that work pressure and fatigue make their hair becoming
grey.
=> The reality is when we’re determined to achieve our goals, we try do our
best. But don’t foget that health is the most important and valuable.
=> So find a balance between work and personal life .

Đề 8 : How have young people’s attitudes towards work change in recent year.
- Some new servey shows that the young people are turning their back on .
working for a wage or go freelance.
+)In previous generations, most people wanted a stable ,security job and
pension when they were old, so they chose to work for State-owned
enterprise.
+) Nowaday ,most young people are dynamic, confident, ambitious so they
don’t want to work for a small company with low wage and tight working
time.
(eg. My grandfather has worked all his life for a state-owned enterprise, now he
has retired and he receives only 3 million pensions each month. So in the future
I don't want to be like my grandfather I want to do in international businesses
with high salaries or self-employment. Obviously that if do self-employment I
will be able to do what I like, have flexible time and more opportunities to earn
money. )

economy. Nowaday to get a good job is not easy, you have to face the intense

constantly improve knowledge.

that more and more people will have our businesses in the future?

I think in the future more and more people will have our businesses.

-Self employment is a situation in which am individual works for oneself

instead of working for an employer that pays a salary or a wage. In some
countries govements ( example US,UK ) are placing more emphasis on
clarifying whether an individual is self employed or engaged in disguised
employment, often described as the pretense of a contractual intra-business
relationship to hide what is otherwise a simple employer- employee
relationship.

lower opportunity cost than other countries. Opportunity cost measures a trade-
off. A nation with a comparative advantage makes the trade-off worth it.
The benefits of buying their good or service outweigh the disadvantages. The
country may not be the best at producing something. But the good or service has
a low opportunity cost for other countries to import.
Vietnam is a country known for " Forest is gold, ocean is silver”.

+) Vietnam has fertile land that helps develop agriculture. We grow

agricultural exports like lichi, mango, pinapple…especialy Vietnam is the
world’s top 5 rice producer, but most of the rice farmers are using primitive
farming methods. (Rice export turnover of 8 months is estimated at 2.2 billion
USD). Vietnam is the world’s top 2 coffee producer just under Brazil. This will
change in the future as well.

spend more money?

- Many supermarket have beautiful displays of fresh produce, such as fruit

and vegetable, near the entrance. => This is to temp and draw cus into the
store and guide them round the store.

- Promotions and discounts at the edge of the aisle: placing special offers at
the edge of the aisle means that more people will be exposed to them.

- Foods (sweets) that are meant for children are at a child's eye level => A
kid will grab and beg his parents to buy. And sweets and chocolate also are
display at checkout area. Because cus can simply put them in trolleys without
thinking or give them to the kid to keep them quiet.
- Music encourages cus to shop more. One study found that customers spent
34% more time shopping in stores with background music.

Because they want to make you travel round as much as you can when you
seach for them. Along the way you will buy things you never thought of and
be introduced to parts of the store you wouldn’t normally visit.

The colour red is the most noticeable and this is why they use this colour for

to reduced fuel consumption and air pollution)
- Easy to compare the price.A huge advantage of shopping online is that you
have the opportunity to compare as many products and prices as you want
without having to spend the time and money to travel between several different
shops. You will also be able to read reviews that have been written by other
people who have purchased the item you are considering
- It give to cus a wide variety of range.

* Disadvantage :
- Not assured goods. Because everything is shown on the internet, so we don’t
know the partners. We have to buy the items relying purely on a photograph and
description, we cannot feel or see or test the items we want to buy. It can
sometimes be quite hard to judge the size or quality of some items purely from a
photograph. Maybe we will have the risks or the goods we ordered that didn’t
have the good quality or enough functions as mentioned in the contract.
- The main disadvantage of shopping online is that you have to pay shipping
costs for the items we purchased to be shipped and delivered. The costs of
shipping may outweigh any savings you made on the purchase price with
products from far place.
- Shipping time. The goods we ordered could take several weeks if we have
purchased a product from overseas. We will not be able to purchase an item we
need to use immediately online.
- The next disadvantage of shopping online is much harder and takes longer to
return faulty goods; we will have to repack it and pay ship back to the seller. It
can take weeks to exchange a faulty product purchased online .
- There are security conserns about payment by credit card over the Internet.

Đề 17 +18 : What is company culture? Why it necessary for a company to build

up company culture? Advantage and disavantage of maintaining an equal
relationship between employers and employees.
- Company culture is : “Behavior of humans within an organization and the
meaning that people attach to those behaviors”. List a number of factors that
contribute to company culture : Company vision, values, norms, systems,
symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits.
- Company’s culture is reflective of the company’s soul. When it’s positive,
it can create a nurturing developing workplace and when it’s not, it can create a
toxic environment that people will chose to either not join or leave.
- Build a strong and equal relationship between employers and employees is
also a part of building great company culture .

=> The environment and culture your employees are working in is more stable,
and therefore makes employees feel more comfortable in their jobs. The
manager-employee relationship is the base for developing a better overall work
culture, that keeps employees happy.Companies who follow workplace equality
philosophies and implement regulations to uphold these philosophies are able to
show their beliefs and compliance to the public. This may improve the
reputation of the company .

- A reinforced culture of collaboration, teamwork and mutual motivation,

makes employees work smarter and more efficiently. They always have each
other and their supervisors to rely on for help, and are therefore better equipped
to handle their individual workload.

the same chance to go after opportunities and develop their skills. Everyone can
freely create and express their opinions. Therefore, it will create innovation and
promote company development.

comfortable around their employer, and appreciated, they are far more likely to
remain loyal. Companies that encourage positive relationships between workers
and managers are generally more successful, and since their employees are
more likely to stick around, company don’t spend as much time and money on
recruiting, hiring and training new workers.
- Fewer Workplace Conflicts : Let’s face it – when a person enjoys being
around their manager and co-workers, they are less likely to seek out conflicts.
A peaceful workplace is just one of the many benefits of strong employee-
employer relationships, Conflicts reduce productivity levels, and increase
