ACTIVITY DESIGN FOR THE BIBLE MONTH CELEBRATION

Under
PROJECT BUSOG LUSOG KID
I. Background and Rationale
Jesus answered, “ It is written: “Men shall not live on bread alone, but on every word
that comes from the mouth of God” Matthew 4:4 (NIV)

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 124 s. 2017, January was declared as the
National Bible Month Celebration with theme, “A Transformed Philippines through God’s
Word.” The celebration is in consonance with the 1987 Constitution which calls on the
government to support efforts to strengthen the ethical and spiritual values and develop the
moral character of Filipinos. In response to this, Bislig City Division issued Division
Memorandum No. 004 s. 2018 which enjoins all schools to schools to conduct weekly Bible
sharing.
In support of these endeavors, San Fernando Elementary School will hold its Bible
Month Celebration from January 15-19, 2018. This activity is in line with Bisig City Division’s
Project HIMSUG (Health Initiative for Meaningful Service Delivery and Upliftment of
Governance) and the school’s Project Busog Lusog Kid since it promotes spiritual
nourishment among the learners.

The celebration aims to:
