LAC SESSION NARRATIVE REPORT

TOPIC: “GATHERING AND ORGANIZING DOCUMENTS FOR RPMS
PORTFOLIO”

The LAC session was held last 22nd of March 2019 at the D’MAV room at exactly 9:00 o’ clock in
the morning. The session started with the solemn prayer of Ms. Ethel Marie Casido. Then, Mrs. Maria
Cecilia C. Portugal introduced the second speaker, Mrs. Liza C. Padilla, AP Teacher, who gave an
informational talk about “Gathering and Organizing Documents for RPMS Portfolio”.

She said that the RPMS was a systematic approach for continuous improvement and growth of the
teachers and this was to ensure that both teaching and non- teaching personnel focused work efforts toward
achieving the Department’s vision, mission, values, and strategic priorities. She even discussed what
documents needed to be gathered and how these documents should be organized.

There were a lot of things to consider in doing the RPMS portfolio from the Key Result Area (KRA)
to the Means of Verification (MOV). She also discussed the format for the cover page, characteristics of
KRA, the criteria for objectives which should be SMART, and the importance of performance monitoring.
She even showed her RPMS portfolio so the participants could visualize what it should looked like.

The session ended with the awarding of the certificates to the speaker and the participants at 12:00
o’clock in the afternoon.

LAC SESSION NARRATIVE REPORT

TOPIC: “ICT INTEGRATION”

The teaching staffs of MAPEH Department organized an interactive LAC Session

regarding on the ICT Integration last March 25, 2019 from 9:00 o’clock in the morning at
Computer laboratory in Montalban Heights National High School. The program started with
a prayer led by Mrs. Joezen Joy Macula followed by the warm welcome of Mrs. Maria Cecilia
Portugal, Department Chairman.

The third speaker for the third session was Mr. Lor Cabiles, Grade 8 and 10 TLE
Teacher. He gave us a walkthrough on ICT integration which was designed to encourage
wider awareness of information and communication technologies (ICTs), the potential of
multimedia- based approaches to education and the potential of the internet as a rich source
of educational materials and to enhance the participants’ skills in computer literacy and
multimedia education. The topic was divided into four sub- topics: 1. Interfacing the laptop,
2. Used of multiple screens, 3. VLC manipulation and 4. Saving from net and torrents.

After showing the steps and discussing the following sub- topics, the speaker gave
participants a task on how to connect laptop to the projector, duplicating and extending
screen, maximizing the use of VLC and easier downloading of videos from net and torrents.

The last part of the session was the awarding of the certificates to the seven
participants and appreciating the speaker for giving his time and sharing his knowledge
about the said topic. The LAC session ended at 12:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

LAC SESSION NARRATIVE REPORT

TOPIC: “LEADERSHIP”

The teaching staffs of MAPEH Department organized another LAC Session regarding
leadership last 28th of March 2019 at the D’MAV room from 10 a.m. in Montalban Heights
National High School. The program started with a prayer led by Mrs. Maria Coed R. Pariña
followed by the warm welcome of Mrs. Maria Cecilia Portugal, Department Head, she also
introduced the fourth speaker for this session.

The fourth speaker was Mr. Lorenzo Ruis Costo, English Teacher. He explained what
leadership was, the difference of being a leader to a boss and 10 qualities of the leader
should have which were all based from his experience. The seven participants shared their
ideas and experiences as well about leading a group that made the session more interactive.

Then, awarding of certificates to the speaker and participants took place and
adjourned at exactly 12:00 o’ clock in the afternoon. The program ended but the knowledge
and the values that the participants gained were still in their hearts.

NARRATIVE REPORT
“ZUMBA FOR A CAUSE”

In line with the school’s mission and vision which was to strengthen the relationship between the
school and the community and to promote active recreational activities, D’Metrix Club organized a fun-
filled event which was “Zumba for a Cause”, that made the youngsters to young at hearts gathered together
in the covered court of Montalban Heights National High School last 26th of March 2019.
The said event was organized not just to promote wellness but to help as well Lilian Luto, a fire
victim and Nathasia Mojar who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
The covered court ambience has turned out to be pleasing and soothing to the eyes as most of the
participants came in their colourful zumba attire. As early as 6:00 o’ clock in the morning, participants were
already at the venue.
The activity started with a short program wherein Joyme Corpuz, Grade 10 student, led the opening
prayer, followed by the opening remarks of Mrs. Maria Cecilia C. Portugal, MAPEH Department Chairman,
who also mentioned the statement of purpose.
After the short program, Mr. Gerald Blancia Roa, Zumba Instructor, guided the participants. Smiles
and sweat can be seen to the students and community members who joined the said event. After the 2
hour- workout, special awards were given to the following:
Zumba King- Mr. Kervin Ludivice, Grade 10 Student
Zumba Queen- Mrs. Catherine Villasanta
Best in Zumba Attire- Ms. Aileen
The event ended with the closing remarks of Mr. Remegio B. Olesco, School Principal. There were
72 participants who enjoyed the Zumba and a total of 12, 350.00 Php were collected and given to the two
beneficiaries.
