Freedom of Speech, as declared in the First Amendment of the Constitution, prohibits the federal
government from unnecessarily or arbitrarily interfering with an individual’s speech. As described in the
Constitution, it allows U.S. citizens the right to censure the government and even support bizarre,
ostracized ideas, which might be either against the public policy or offensive to other people.

adverse state of affairs that are detrimental to the evolution of the human society. Therefore, to make best
use of the freedom of speech, it is essential to put a stop to its misuse by groups that advocate offensive
ideas, such as terrorism, racism, sexism, and fascism.
