This study was conducted and specially designed to determine the

influence of computer activities on the learning outcome of grade 11 senior

high school student. Specially, it sought to determine the: To what extent is

the computer activities in terms of Editing, Scheming and Scanning; it sought

to determine the influence of computer activities on the learning outcome of

senior high school student.

The study focused on the influence of computer activities on learning outcome

of grade 11 senior high school students of Notre Dame-Siena College of

Tacurong during the school year 2019.

The instrument we used in gathering data was constructed survey

questionnaire made by the researchers to examine their views toward the

influence of computer activities and its relation to the academic performance.

The findings of the study are as follows:

1. In general, the results in Tables one, two, three and our revealed that the

technology significantly influence the Academic learning of grade eleven (11)

senior high school student. In table 1.1, Computation of the mean rating of

Editing had the overall weighted mean of (3.22) that indicates “Sometimes”.

While, Table 1.2, Computation of the mean rating of Scheming had the overall

weighted mean of (3.574) that signify “Oftentimes”. And table 1.3,

Computation of mean rating of Scanning had the overall weighted mean of

(3.766) that bespeak “Oftentimes”. In table 1.4, Computation of mean rating of

Computer Activities had the overall weighted mean of (3.52) that signify

“Oftentimes”.

2. Based on the evaluation done by the respondents of this study, it was

revealed that the grand mean of the grades of respondents in General

Mathematics is 85.15 which is considered to have the descriptive rating of

“Average”.

3. The results of correlation coefficient (r) tested at .05 level of significance

resulted to 0.8646 computed value less than the critical value of .05 level, a

ground to reject null hypothesis that there is no significant relationship

between technology and academic learning. Further, the result revealed that

the computer activities does really influence the learning outcome of grade 11

senior high school students.

Conclusions

Considering the results of the study, the following conclusions were made:

1. Based on the findings of the study, the grade 11 senior high school

students frequently used technology as an instrument of studying.

2. Based on the results, it indicates that the technology influences the

academic performance of senior high school students.

Recommendations
Based on the findings, the following are thereby recommended:

1. Senior high school students must conduct a seminar on how they can use

computer activities effectively that may help in identifying the negative and

positive effects of computer activities.

2. Future researcher must conduct a follow up study on how students could

lessen use of computers.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The researchers wish to express their deepest appreciation and heartfelt

thanks gratitude to the following:
