Barwa Commercial Avenue
The BARWA COMMERCIAL AVENUE (BCA) project is a mixed use development located in a southern
district of Doha and forming the commercial element of the large residential “Barwa City” project. The
Employer of the project is BARWA Real Estate Company (Q.S.C.), the design is provided by AECOM
Middle East Limited.

The project consists of five main buildings, Building Type 1 to 5 each with its own architectural style. The
site is stretched linearly over a distance of approximately 8.6 kilometers. The linear development is
punctuated by so called “Landmark” structures; these are of special architectural interest, are generally
higher than the main buildings and are foreseen for commercial use. A portion of 500 meters of Building
Type 3 was re-designed by the Client to a shopping mall.

HOCHTIEF Solution Middle East Qatar W.L.L. has been awarded the construction contract of the BCA
project, acting as the General Contractor, with various subcontractors for the MEP, Elevators &
Escalators, Façade, Interior Finishing, Infrastructure and Outside Utilities works
