Introduction and Background of the Study

The culture of parenting is now completely different than it was 50 years ago. Family dynamics
have completely shifted. More mothers are going back to work, fathers staying home and single
parenthood is on the rise. Gone are the days when a community/village, church or modern
parents’ parents provide help to raise the little ones. Therefore, resulting to the lack of proper
childcare.

Proper childcare means giving all things the children needs (Basic needs and Developmental
Needs); these include food and shelter, physical safety and emotional security. Food and shelter
are common to both adult and children and are the most essential of all, but children have very
little to none of the ability to acquire or procure both. Children cannot protect themselves from
anyone stronger than them. Thus, their perspective of the world grows and develops, meaning
they need to have a proper way of deepening understanding of their experiences. Their
developmental needs include Social Skills, Career abilities, and internal skills.

A proper, inexpensive, and child-development-and-welfare-focused center is the most probable

answer to modern parents’ dilemma, in the care of professional childcare experts dedicated to
practice the following:

 Prepare meals and organize mealtimes and snacks for children

 Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care
 Help children keep good hygiene
 Change the diapers of infants and toddlers
 Keep records of children’s progress, routines, and interest
 Organize activities or implement a curriculum that allow children to learn about the
world and explore interests
 Develop schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical activity,
rest, and playtime
 Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring the
problems to the attention of parents
These are just a gist of Little Juans Learning Center’s aimed practices in the mission of giving
parents’ ease and support, and, providing children the caring and attention, they deserve.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

The proponents settled to create a Learning Center with a setup uncommon to the
Philippine culture. Their aim, among others, is to help regular working parents in the early stages
of parenthood, and, develop the little ones in an innovative and inspiring method. The business
promote this method to create a new generation that is strong, capable and resilient; rich with
wonder and knowledge. The perception of parents and elders today on childcare is the same way
they perceive kindergarten or grade school teaching, which is a Montessori Approach, the
proponents are then aiming to change into a more practical, relevant and effective approach in
teaching toddlers called The Reggio Emilia approach.

Company Name:
The proponents agreed to name their limited partnership “Kairos Ltd.”, the name derived from
Greek that means opportune time, which the partners interpret as their favorable or promising
moment to create an expedient business such as Little Juans learning Center.

The proponents chose a straightforward and Filipino themed name for the business: Little Juans
learning Center. The proponents chose this name to show that they serve the Filipino children
whom they deem as the hope of this nation; the name is homonymous to “little one” which
construes to treating the child with utmost care and affection.

Company Mission:
To provide high quality learning services with utmost caring, adherence and devotion, sharing
the same affection of what true parents has. To give these parents and children the highest
assurance and education that they need.

Company Vision:
By the year 2024, will be the learning center and most trusted secondary-home, playing a vital
role in the development of the Philippine society.
Company Logo:

The logo of Little Juan’s childcare center is well planned and related to its objectives and
mission.

We put the initials of our name as the columns that support the children in their early stages. The
arrows are used as roof to show that we aim to guide the children to the right direction in looking
at life, protecting them from the storms of social toxicity. Each of the splatted colors have the
following meanings: Orange for Art, Yellow for Happiness, Lime Green for Growth
Environment, Sky Blue for Inspiring Trust, Violet for Sensitivity for the Humanitarian needs of
the Children, Red to show our Passion for Caring for Children.

Company Tagline

The “Go Zaza. Baby got this!” reasonably assures the parents for the safety and welfare of their
children as they work. Zaza is another gender-neutral word for mothers and/or fathers. The
company tagline gives confidence and ease of mind that the company is capable of providing an
optimal environment for those Little Juans growth.

Type of Business Organization

Limited Partnership

A limited partnership (LP) is much like a general partnership, but with a few significant
differences.

Management of a limited partnership rests with the "general partner," who also bears unlimited
liability for the company's debt and obligations. A limited partnership allows for any number of
"limited partners," whose liability is limited to the total amount of their investment in the
company.
Limited partners sometimes referred to as "silent partners" - in other words, they can make
investments in the company but have no voting power or control over its day-to-day operations.
They can be a valuable source of capital in this business structure.
