Job Shadow Reflection Entry:
I chose to shadow attorney Nedza because I am interested in law and criminal justice. This
job shadow was held on-site at the local. Attorney Nedza was very helpful in guiding me toward
this career even if this might not be my occupation when I am older.
During my visit at, I was able to watch a small court case from beginning to end. I was able to
see firsthand what lawyers do in a courtroom, and I even was able to speak to the judge afterward
and ask him questions about the case and other cases in DuBois.
One rule of thumb for this job is that you must be able to argue and defend your position.
Hours for this occupation can be scattered in all instances because you may have to work long
days. Classes for this occupation involve lots of reading and writing and schooling is expensive.
This job shadow has impacted my career goals. It made me realize that there are a lot of jobs
that I am interested in and I should not have to worry so much that I will get stuck with a job that I
hate. I would like to research more on this occupation but there are so many that I can look into.
My next steps would be to do more research on the specific things that I like about this job.
