Michael Schumacher's life

Michael Schumacher was born in Huerth, North Rhine-Westphalia

(Nordrhein-Westfalen). He was a very famous Formula 1 driver from 1991 to 2012. He married

Corinna Betsch in August 1995. They have two children, a daughter Gina-Marie, born 20

February 1997 and a son Mick, born 22 March 1999. They currently live in Switzerland.

Michael Schumacher is noteworthy because was the best Formula 1 driver in history he also is a

role model for not only Formula drivers but for every racing driver in the world.

Michael Schumacher started his professional racing career when he was 19 years old in

1988. He started off with many different racing/formula categories such as European Formula

Ford 1600 and Formula Koenig. His first Formula One race was in 1991 and his first Formula

One championship win was just 3 years later in 1994. He was 25 years old and drove for Mild

Seven Benetton Ford. He also won the following year for Mild Seven Benetton Renault. He

switched to Scuderia Ferrari in 1996 and won his first championship with them in 2000 and also

Michael Schumacher’s personal life is very interesting. He is married to Corinna Betsch.

They both married in August 1995. They have two children, a daughter Gina-Marie, born 20

February 1997 and a son Mick, born 22 March 1999. He and his wife own a horse ranch in Texas

and Switzerland. His son Mick Schumacher is also a racing driver and currently drives in

Formula 2 for Prema racing. He has done 4 races, got 14 points so far and his current position is

9th.

On 29 December 2013 Michael Schumacher had a horrible skiing accident. He was

skiing with Mick, at the moment 14 years old, descending the Combe de Saulire below the Dent

de Burgin above Méribel in the French Alps. Apparently he fell on a rock with his head while

they were crossing an unsecure off-piste area. He was put into a medically induced coma because

of a traumatic brain injury. In 2014, he was moved from intensive care into a rehabilitation ward.

In November 2014, it was reported that Schumacher was "paralysed and in a wheelchair"; he

"cannot speak and has memory problems". In May 2015, Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm

said that his condition is slowly improving "considering the severeness of the injury he had". In

December 2018, it was reported that Schumacher "is not bedridden nor is he existing on tubes."

Schumacher continues the rehabilitation process in the privacy of his home in Switzerland.

Michael Schumacher is networthy because he is a incredible person. A really good,

maybe even the best, racing driver in the world. Not only inspired he all the racers but he

inspired all those people who watched him driving and now slowly fighting his way back into

normal life. After his skiing accident he faught the whole time and finally managed after 5 year

to get out of the hospital and continue his rehabilitation process at home. I’m sure like many

others that he’ll eventually be able to drive again. Maybe not in a competition but to show the

world that he is still there and even after such an horrible event everyone is able to fight his way

back to what you love. Schumacher was honoured many times during his career. In April 2002,

for his contributions to sport and his contributions in raising awareness of child education, he

was named as one of the UNESCO Champions for sport, joining the other eight. He won the

Laureus World Sportsman of the Year award twice, in 2002 and 2004 for his performances in the

2001 and 2003 seasons respectively. Even whole racing track parts were named after him.
