Xiamen University (XMU), founded in 1921 by Mr. Tan Kah Kee, a renowned overseas Chinese
entrepreneur and philanthropist, is the first Chinese higher-education institution established by
an overseas Chinese. Being a leading research university in China, XMU is ranked 9th among
Chinese mainland universities according to the Times Higher Education World University
Rankings 2018.

XMU has established an international branch campus - Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM,
Registration No. DULN009(B)). XMUM aspires to become a university with a distinct global

Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) is now seeking highly motivated, committed and
qualified individuals (Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor / Senior
Lecturer / Lecturer) to join our diverse and dynamic faculty in 2019.

Essential Requirements:

1) Applicants must possess a PhD degree in a related discipline

2) At least three (3) years of proven tertiary level teaching experience

3) Established and proven research track record

4) Registered Member/Professional qualification in a related discipline

5) Fluency in both spoken and written English (except for specific subjects)

6) Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

3) Possess valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) (For Malaysian Only)

4) Fluency in both spoken and written Mandarin and English

5) Excellent in presentation skills and have rich research background
