Jesus Heals a Blind Man at Bethsaida (Mark 8:22-25)
22
They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. 23 He took
the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his
hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” 24 He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees
walking around.”25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was
restored, and he saw everything clearly.

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand (Matthew 14:17-21)

17
“We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.18 “Bring them here to me,” he
said. 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking
up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave
them to the people. 20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken
pieces that were left over. 21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and
children.

Jesus on the Sabbath (Luke 4:16-21)

16
He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the
synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him.
Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed
me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of
sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.”[a]20 Then he rolled up
the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened
on him. 21 He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Jesus Teaching on Prayer (Luke 11:1-4)

11 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach
us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”2 He said to them, “When you pray, say:” ‘Father,[a]hallowed be
your name, your kingdom come.[b]3 Give us each day our daily bread.4 Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive
everyone who sins against us.[c] And lead us not into temptation.[d]’

The Boy Jesus at the Temple (Luke 2:49-52)

49
“Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” [a] 50 But
they did not understand what he was saying to them.51 Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was
obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and
stature, and in favour with God and man.
