APPLICATION OF KANUL O2 MASK THERAPY FOR PROBLEM DYSPNEU ON

PATIENT WITH CHF (CHRONIC HEART FAILURE)

Background :

The application of oxygenation therapy is one of the interverentions to reduce shortness of

breath or dyspneu in patients with CHF (Chronic Heart Failure). Oxygenation therapy is to
provide oxygen with a higher concentration than free air which functions in the occurrence of
hypoxia and hypoxemia so that no cell death occurs.

Method : This case study uses a descriptive method, and a study and application of therapy
with 1 CHF (Chronic Heart Failure) patient with dyspneu was carried out for 3 days in CHF
patients with dyspneu in the Baitul izzah 1 room at the Sultan Agung Hospital Semarang.

Results: Cannul o2 oxygenation therapy can reduce dyspneu in CHF (Chronic Heart Failure)

Conclusion: The delivery of cannul o2 therapy can be done to reduce dyspneu in patients at
RSI Sultan Agung Semarang.

Suggestion: Oxygenation therapy is highly recommended for nurses to deal with dyspneu.
