● Leto, followed that up by giving our superintendent Frank Quatrone a 20% raise to $210,000.00 salary per year
despite being under investigation. Leto also immediately hired his two best friends for jobs.
● As Board President, Joe Leto made a deal with his running mate to make sure that his daughter is STILL
GETTING PAID while suspended.
● Lyin’ Leto attempts to take credit for an action that occurred a year before he joined the Lodi BOE​: The
Lodi Board of Education voted to stop the $8M administration building on January 4, 2017 by a vote of 4-3-1. A
$6,053,500 contract had been awarded a week earlier for the demolition and replacement which was scheduled for
March 2017. It was a memorable meeting. Joe Leto didn’t join the BOE until January 3, 2018, a year after the
contract was cancelled. Leto contributed NOTHING to our efforts in stopping the unnecessary project.

PRIDE Patronage Deception…

Scott Luna blatantly had his running mates CREATE a job for his son, in which his salary will balloon after
1 year to over $100,000.00. Less than two months before officially announcing that Scott Luna is their running
mate, Mayor Emil Carafa, Councilman Albert DiChiara, and Councilman Vincent Martin had their Borough
Manager Vincent Caruso create a new title for Scott Luna’s son. An OPRA request yielded no job posting or job
description.
PRIDE candidates and their relatives are now trying to defend this new patronage position by stating:
“Garrett Luna went to college for this position.” This is complete deception by PRIDE. They are avoiding the real
problem at hand. But there is even a problem with their distracting statement. It's not true. A college degree is
NOT required for the civil service title “Recreation Leader”. Additionally, Garrett Luna was majoring in
“Communications”. That is a NOT a “Recreation” degree.
As soon as Tony Luna retired as Lodi Boro Manager, he immediately began to “work” for the developer of
Lodi’s Main Street. Everything about the arrangement looked really bad from an ethical standpoint. Boundaries
supposedly set by the administration were clearly crossed. The residents of Lodi recently saw this same developer
receive a $216,765 tax refund as an assessment on one of his properties, which was reduced by over $7,285,000.
Tony Luna has now put his son Scotty in legal jeopardy. For the last several weeks, many citizens have been
complaining that they have felt pressured to put up PRIDE signs and take down Citizens Against Corruption signs.
Many have felt harassed. Federal law says that "no person … shall intimidate, threaten, coerce … any other person
for the purpose of interfering with the right of [that] person to vote or to vote as he may choose." Don’t be fooled
by promises by the Luna Family that if you put up a sign, you will be given a Borough job. This action is illegal.
We have documented proof that Tony is promising jobs in exchange for campaign support, and the authorities will

Lodi’s Dark History Lesson

Lodi residents are always asking, “why do certain families in town always get town jobs paid by our hard
earned tax dollars?” For long time Lodi residents the answer is obvious, it’s the disturbing “Young Turks” system.
For newcomers to Lodi who are not aware of the “ Young Turks,” this history lesson will also upset you.
Back in the 1960’s a handful of Lodi families formed “ The Young Turks” in order to control Lodi Town
Jobs for decades to come, and unfortunately they have succeeded. It is LITERALLY true, that certain jobs are
promised to certain family members BEFORE THEY ARE EVEN BORN. The families include, The Lunas, The
DiChiaras, The Carafas , The Quatrones, and of course Joe Capizzi. Here are just a few examples: The Luna
family receives close to Two Million Dollars a year in town jobs paid by our taxes. We are all familiar that Scott
Luna had his running mates CREATE A JOB for his 25 year old son making over 50 thousand dollars a year. If
Scott Luna and his running mates win, Scott’s son’s salary will ballon to over 100 thousand dollars a year. Albert
DiChiara’s family also receive over a million dollars worth of taxpayers salaries. His wife, and his previous wife
both immediately got teacher’s jobs in Lodi as soon as they married Albert. Both of Albert’s brothers were also
“GIVEN” jobs at a young age. His one brother was given a principal job after teaching for only THREE YEARS,
as other highly qualified teachers were passed over even though they were teaching for over 20 years. The
Quatrone family have been taking high paying Lodi Jobs for years. Only in Lodi can one brother, Frank Quatrone
become the Lodi School Superintendent at such a young age with no experience, while his brother Joe becomes the
Lodi Police Captain, and the Youngest brother Vinny becomes Lodi Police Chief. All of these jobs were planned
for them before they were born. The same goes for the Carafa family. It is disturbing and alarming how many
Carafas are employed by the Lodi School system. Hundreds of thousands of dollars a year of our tax dollars goes
toward this one family. Between The Pride Council candidates , Dichiara, Luna, Leto, Martin, and Carafa, ​WE
ARE PAYING THEIR FAMILIES OVER 4.8 MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR FROM OUR TAXES. This

Enough is enough! We need to come together as a community and grow

stronger together and build a stronger Lodi for our future generations. Let’s put
Lodi on the right path. Prior decisions on Lodi’s local services, such as waste
collections, and leisure facilities, and finances need to be reviewed. Our tax dollars
are hard earned dollars that can not be wasted. We need to develop
environmentally friendly plans, implement programs with educational opportunities
that support the creation of a balanced community, reduce the pollution on our
streets and make our water clean and drinkable. Lodi is known for its flooding.
We need to make sure that our sewers and catch basin are clear to avoid local
flooding.
We intend to implement an agenda where problems are dealt with before, or as
they occur. Proactive, not inactive, like the current Council and Municipal
Manager.
We have fought, and continue to fight, for several quality of life and life
threatening issues affecting many Lodi residents. Lodi is a great place to live and
has the potential to be the best with the right management and council in place
