(1) Always free from anger and supremely blissful, NityAnanda RAya wanders
throughout the village devoid of all false prestige.

(2) Thus going from door to door to the most fallen and wretched souls, He freely
distributes the holy name of the Lord, so merciful is our NitAi.

(3) Taking a piece of straw between His teeth in great humility, NitAi explains to
whoever He meets, "I can only be purchased by one who worships Lord Gaurahari."

(4) Saying this, NityAnanda Prabhu rolls on the ground, looking like a golden
mountain covered with dust.

(5) Locana dAsa says: One in whom the loving affection for such a supremely
merciful incarnation of the Lord has not awakened, is simply a sinful dog who takes
birth and dies to no avail.
