Item Code Generation Module:

* Project Business Objective: Automate the Item Code Opening Process to a single
click.
* Designing customizes to the existing Item code Opening Module in Oracle
Applications (E-Business Suite) R11i system and its related custom sub-systems (Bill
of Materials, Sub inventory, category Structure etc…).

Executing the full project life cycle: requirements gathering, design, configuration
changes, Technical specifications, generating test scripts, documentation, training,
etc...

Previous Oracle module involved: Multiple forms for data entry and a very complex
system to add sub inventory and category structure and to assign master ORG for
Finish and Greige items according to organization scenario.

* Working in said scenario, more than one person was required for opening the Item
Code for a Single Item.

Project Characteristics:
* Interfacing new Items: Merchandiser information interface to enter the required
item’s data in a form of a request and submit it for processing.

* Item Code Generation Interface: When a merchandiser submits a request, it shows


on a second interface. On this interface when a process button is clicked the data is
inserted into interface tables and after that it is processed by a request which inserts
data into appropriate tables for opening the item code and Bill of Materials for the
finish and Greige items. This all is done behind a single click.
Work Flow:
After that a work flow is generated to send notification to the Merchandiser.
My Role: I made it all by myself.

Folding, Dispatch and Export Modules:

* Project Business Objective: Automate the Folding, Dispatch and Export


documentation Process.
* Designing customizes to the existing Item code Opening Module in Oracle
Applications (E-Business Suite) R11i system and its related custom sub-systems.

Executing the full project life cycle: requirements gathering, design, configuration
changes, Technical specifications, generating test scripts, documentation, training,
etc...

Previous Oracle module involved: there isn’t any facility to handle these transactions,
in oracle E-Business Suite.

Project Characteristics:
* Folding Module: this module handles the transactions when a job comes after Item
code assignment and material issuance.
It handles,

 Folding inspection: decision making like how many rolls will be in the job,
width, weight, length, grading etc…
 Folding Job Stepping: transferring rolls from one job to another.
 Folding Issue transactions: After Processing particular rolls mark as issue for
next transactions.
 Folding Ready for Inventory: issued rolls then mark as ready for inventory
and then the rolls are inventoried.

* Dispatch Module: When a job is inventoried it is then issued to dispatch.

 Dispatch Advice: A Dispatch Advice document is created for the further


transaction which is very key document for Export Transactions and Job closing
processes.
It contains information regarding delivery of the fabric like mode of shipment,
shipment date, shipping lines, bilty no, and container no, etc…

 DA Post: when a DA is prepared it is then mapped with a particular order and


then it is posted for further transactions.

* Export Module: this module handles the transactions when a job is ready to deliver.
It has following forms
 E-Form (Export Form)
 L/C (Letter of Credit)
 B/L (Bill of Leading and Dummy B/L)
