Ransom (1996)

Camila Marie B. Perez – 11 Hydrogen

“Ransom” is a smarter-than-usual kidnapping thriller; there was an airline owner whose child is
kidnapped. He tries to outsmart the kidnappers with a risky plan that might work, or might lead to the
loss of his child. Everything depends on his hunch that the child is doomed anyway--unless his desperate
scheme pays off.

Tom Mullen is an exceptionally rich owner of an airline. He has all of it; a happy family, achievements
and riches. One day amid a gathering in the science fair at the park, his child disappears. When he
arrives home, he gets a video-taped message of his child, who has been seized. He is eager to pay the
payment, yet he calls the FBI covertly. Be that as it may, when the drop turns sour, Tom attempts
another strategy against the crooks, utilizing the cash as a bounty on their heads.

The movie portrays a real life event that may happen to children or families. Kidnapping is one thing that
man is held responsible of. We can be harmed and it can be dangerous for people in our world today.
Based on the film, there are corrupted minds of people that lose track on what is important. They think
that wealth is power. They also did everything to get money.

Disasters are appalling occasions that quite often end in the death and destruction of property. They
happen abruptly, and have been happening since before recorded time — well in any event cataclysmic
events like earthquakes, floods, avalanches, typhoons and tornadoes. Man-made disasters are hard to
foresee, anyway they are preventable. With a little prevention, they shouldn't happen in any case.
Occasions, for example, gas spills, oil slicks, atomic emergencies, and modern flames happen through
human actions and convey grave outcomes. Despite the fact that the world has seen numerous
catastrophic events after some time, man-made disasters keep on developing, with similarly sad
outcomes.

We are currently living in a socialized society. The times of illiteracy and ignorance have gone. Man has
gained much ground in the field of science and innovation. Man has made riches out of regular assets
for his open to living. Man has sliced timberlands carelessly to clear the land for development and
alongside this environmental degradation has occurred, which additionally influences his life. Man is
turning into his own enemy since he has additionally made weapons of mass destruction and these
weapons are utilized against humankind, who further brings distress, and enduring to humankind.

These things could still be prevented. Humans should still have humanity in every one of us. Nothing will
happen if there is only us humans but no humanity. We need to think above level and not just ourselves.
Anger, jealousy, wealth, and greediness have made people do what they should not be doing. We need
to change ourselves for the better. We should start now in the present to make it a good future for our
children and grandchildren. The doings of the past must be left behind.

place” –Don McPherson
Goodmorning! I am Camila Marie B. Perez from 11-Hydrogen running for Grade 12 Representative in
TITUS Partylist.

I ask you to consider, what is leadership? Many people believe that leadership is simply being the first,
biggest or most powerful. Leadership in organizations has a different and more meaningful definition. A
leader is someone who sets direction in an effort or task and influences or motivates people to follow
that direction.

To me a leader is a communicator; an individual with the ability to share their vision with those around
them. A leader is passionate; their leadership has a purpose, a goal they are dedicated to achieving,
through the inspirational motivation their team. A leader is a teacher; as great leadership will result in
the empowerment of others to lead, take risks and develop new skills.

Running for G-12 Rep. , I know that I have these skills and capabilities to lead my batch mates. I would
voice out your ideas to the council as well as make my own contributions to the school. Being
responsible, collaborative, and committed makes me ready to take on the task of forming part of our
SSG. I am also approachable and student friendly. It is my intention to represent my batch and to listen
to anyone’s concerns.

I have experienced many aspects of leadership through the years. My vast experiences have more than
prepared me for the challenges ahead... I’m sure that you can see I have the capacity to lead a team that
will foster positive outcomes, not just within the chamber, but for all sayanistas. We will grow and
develop throughout the experiences ahead.

Although this is my first time joining the SSG, I believe that I am capable of the duties of being a
representative. I promise that I am not all words but I would also have action. To end my speech, A
quote from John Maxwell, “ Leaders become great not because of their power but because of their
ability to empower.”

Thank you. Again, I am Camila Marie B. Perez running for Grade 12 Representative. Please vote wisely.

Dear Ma’am/ Sir:

I have known Camila Marie B. Perez for a span of almost a year. She is the class president of my
section, 11- Hydrogen. I know Camila as a hardworking and responsible student. She can fulfill duties of
a leader and inspires her classmates to listen. Camila also passed all of his home works, projects, and
requirements in time. She also tries to help and give joy to everyone in all ways he can do. She is also
approachable that anyone can talk to her easily and is friendly to others. She would also guide his
classmates to accomplish their tasks. Camila also participates in extra-curricular activities like sports.
Nonetheless, she manages her time wisely, and keeps on placing herself in the honors. She may be
stressed at time but in the end all and everything ends well. I am sure that Camila will be a great
candidate for the Supreme Student Government because she can influence others with the lessons she
learn from people around her, and also from her teachers.

Sincerely,

Ma’am Mizpah Care Zapanta
