SWOT ANALYSIS

SWOT analysis provides the basic framework for the project, success of the project
depends upon the feasibility study, financial analysis, social impact, historical
perspective, spatial perspective, political set-up along with a detailed SWOT. It
stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, opportunities and threats. In our given project
named Women’s café the SWOT has been explained below:

Strengths:

1. Availability of major infrastructure.


2. Interests and skills of the concerned group.
3. Focus on traditional Indian principle, “ Atithi Devo Bhav”.
4. Necessity and willingness to earn profit to the concerned group.
5. Prime location and beautiful place for the café.
6. No price affordable café in the area under consideration.

Opportunities:

1. Sustainable Village organization.


 Borrowings-landings as per the norms.
2. Location of the structure, proximity to the State highway-13.
3. Huge passenger vehicle influx.
4. Upcoming tourist destination.
5. Raise the income opportunities to the rural women.
6. Positive effect on the overall economy of the area.

 Supplier to the raw material.
 Supplier to the finished products.

 Handmade product exhibition.
7. Good coordination among the members.

Implementation:

 Required staff 10 members of SHG.


 Preferably two shifts of 5-5 members each.
 Menu as per Himachali Cuisine.
 Collaboration with the other government department eg. Transport
Department, Hotel management institute etc.
 Beautification of infrastructure.
 Proper mechanism for performance based incentives and disincentives for
not performing the job.
 Work assignment as per the capabilities and consensus within the group.

Care should be taken for the followings:

 Maintenance of hygiene.
 Traditional food promotion.
 Environment protection.
 Positive social impact.
 Preserve and diversify traditional Himachali cuisine.
 Dine-in and packed food.
