Research Design
This study will be using descriptive research. Descriptive research is designed to describe
systematically and accurately the facts and characteristics of a given population or area of interest
(Dulock, 1993). Descriptive research portray the characteristics of persons, situations, or groups
and the frequency with which certain phenomenon occur and discover associations or relationships
The respondents for this study will be the online sellers within the area of Cavite. The
researchers will be emailing 250 online sellers from social networking sites and shopping
application.
Online sellers were chosen as participants of this study since they’re the most user or
Sampling techniques
This study will be determined using quota sampling technique. Purposive sampling is a
process of the researcher of choosing a sample by the researcher’s judgement that is needed to the
study and has assured purpose (Crossman, 2017). It is a sampling method of gathering
representative data from a group. This requires that representative individuals are chosenout of
specific subgroups. Table 1 shows the first five cities in Cavite with the highest number of
population. Which are, Dasmarinas City, Bacoor City, Imus City, General Trias City, Trece
Martires City.
Dasmarinas City 50
Bacoor City 50
Imus City 50
Data Gatherings
The data will be gathered with the use of survey questionnaire. The researchers use Likert
Scale data questionnaire. The questionnaire has a scale and each numeric value has an assigned
level on the scale, usually starting at 1 and incremented by one for each level. In this way, the
The researcher choose to get the top five cities in Cavite with the highest number of
population, provided by the website citypopulation.info. First, the researcher provide an approved
letter from their university. And send or email it to the online sellers along with the covering letter
explaining the purpose of the study and the research questionnaire to be answered. Twenty-five
online sellers from each cities in Cavite are chosen to be respondents to complete the 250 required
respondents. After conducting the study, the researchers will summarize the data gathered and
gave the encoded data to the statistician. The statistician then computed the data using the
necessary statistical treatments and subsequently, the researchers analyzed the result of it.
A statistical method will be used to analyze the data that will be collected from the
respondents. In this study, the responses and information that will be collected from the survey
The researcher will use a statistical tool to analyze the hypotheses. To determine the
relationship between the logistics and supply chain management and its impact on the online
sellers in Cavite.
Chi square test is designed to analyze categorical data. It is intended to test how likely it is
that an observed distribution is due to chance. It is also called a "goodness of fit"statistic, because
it measures how well the observed distribution of data fits with the distribution that is expected.
Chi-square test is that it tests the null hypothesis that the variables are independent. The
test compares the observed data to a model that distributes the data according to the expectation
that the variables are independent. Wherever the observed data doesn't fit the model, the likelihood
that the variables are dependent becomes stronger, thus proving the null hypothesis incorrect. The
formula is.
This will be used to determine the relationship of logistics and supply chain management
