On day 1, we had an orientation with Ma’am Julie Anne Contawe, MDC PHR Associate and
Sir Frank, safety officer. The orientation was all about the rules and regulations of the
company (Do’s and Don’ts), and the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety). They also gave
a brief background about the company, its ongoing projects and achievements. In the
orientation, we were informed that there is a tool box meeting, gathering of staffs and
workers for announcements and exercise, every morning at exactly 6:45 AM.
Afterwards, I was introduced to the department where I will be assigned. The Alveo High
Park Project of MDC consists of two towers, tower 1 and 2. I was assigned to Tower 2 and
was introduced to my supervisor, Engr. Lemuel Joseph V. Abanes and the engineers which
will be part of my training. I also met my co-trainees in Tower 2 from other university.
