Samuel L. Jones Boys & Girls Club received.
The Decatur club, along with Aaron’s,
unveiled the renovated teen center to students
May 9. Boys & Girls Club of America and
Aaron’s partnered in the renovation project.
The teen center received new paint, furniture,

Selmi and Williams awarded study abroad scholarships

Tiger A.H. Selmi of Decatur, a sophomore studying

Business, and Faizon Williams of Decatur, a junior studying
computer science in the College of Arts & Sciences, are two
of more than 800 U.S. undergraduate students from hundreds
of colleges and universities selected to receive the prestigious
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship sponsored by the
U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural
Affairs.
Selmi was awarded $3,500 to study through a Georgia State
exchange program at Rotterdam School of Management in the
Netherlands for spring 2019.
Williams has been awarded $2,500 to study through
a Georgia State exchange program at Hong Kong Baptist
University in Hong Kong during spring 2019.
